I need a new PC, last time I built one was 2015 I think, and of course how the story goes impossible to get a card even though I got in the queues here,  it seems like will take forever.

Just thinking of buying a pre built, not a huge fan, since I like to do it myself but at this point I want to just be able to play my games at max settings and not worry about having horrible performance.

I was looking at this:  https://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Gaming-RDY-LCMBG205

It already pre-built and said can get here on Wed.  I would rather a 3080, and feel the 3080TI is overpriced for performance but it is what it is, I am sure paying more then if I got all the pieces, but at this point still better then buying scalper prices I think.

Anyone ever deal with ibuypower?  Trustworthy company?  Or any other recommendations for a pre built that actually has good customer service if there are issues?

I know several people who have used them.... They are generally what I would consider middle-of-the-road company for pre-built systems .  Decent enough ,just not top tier level of course.

..And Yes, you are correct - getting one of the entire systems  from someone is the fastest ,easiest, way to get a card that you want quickly . ( without using EBAY scalper prices )

Go for it  &  enjoy gaming !

I did, but make sure you look through the whole build and watch some GN reviews. I got an ABS rig from newegg with a 3080 and a 5800x for $200 over msrp over the parts with a free monitor and 6 months interest free financing. Gonna cannibalize what I can out of there, rebuild the prebuilt, and sell it at a small loss.

In this market, it isn't a bad choice.

I thought about it but ended up buying my own system (or will build my own once the parts arrive).  I got some good deals on Prime day.  I'll build it up and run my 970 in it for the time being until I can get a 3070 or 3080 if I'm lucky.

What I didn't like about pre-built is I wasn't happy about the limitations of component selection.  I felt that there were too many compromises.  That and this gaming rig will be going in my home theater, so a case with RGB out the wazoo is not what I want.

Honestly I considered it myself, but I was basically paying $800 over MSRP for it. I suppose it depends on what you are going for. I've heard good things about NZXT as well.

If you do really need it now then they aren’t too bad. Some are not bad value and if its from a decent company it should be fine.
