I have mentioned this in previous posts, but i am in my last week to decide whether to step up from my 1060 3GB. I got the SC model on black friday for 190. Im not too happy with paying over 100 to just get 3 more gigs and a little bit more fps with a 6 gig card, and the 1070 and 1070 ti offered is for 470 and 570 i believe. Nearly 3 times the price for not even double the frames at 1080p. Is it worth to upgrade? The benefit would also be just having a card reserved for me, since ive heard stories of people signing up for notification and such since the cards are always out of stock. Another option would be to wait for Volta, which even if the prices of a 70 series card was just as expensive, it would be a better card regardless.

    No don't bother spending the money right now. The prices are hugely inflated and the next gen cards are rumored to be only a few months away. Save your money.

    sadly, my step up ended this weekend, i put a request in to step up to a 1070 ti, though i may cancel it.

    I would probably step up to the 1070 Ti with all the shortages. Long as it's better than you currently have.
