1090 maybe? 1100? Wonder what will change to make them better. Wonder when they would come out. All this wondering.

I'm guessing 1100 series. Once they hit the 1900 series way in the future I'm expecting the 2000 series. If it didn't follow that pattern, I would be very surprised.

The better question, what's after the GTX9980? If it ever gets that far. Will they reset it to the GTX100, or make it a mouthful with the GTX10100 series lol.

I'm hoping we go back to logic, I'm really going to be fascinated however with the Geforce GTX 4200 series, hope it is a good value for the money in 2030

I suspect we will all be gone to the great up yonder before GTX9980 is released.  I know I will be long gone.

Volta should be next big GPU core change for Nvidia; I hope the go for clarity and call them 20XX GPUs

Seems all good to me.  Just the same kind of fun speculation that we've seen here on the forums for years.  Until Nvidia officially announces the next name/number(s), it's all guesswork...

I initially thought 1090, but with it being the new Volta architecture and 10nm process (possibly), they might skip 1090 and jump straight to GTX-1100, which is starting to sound more like the name of a motorbike than a graphics card... lol.

I imagine they will follow up with an 11 Series signature but I have a theory that if there is a fabrication process switch from 16 nm to 14 nm or below Nvidia will distinguish between Pascal and Volta with series 10 and series 20.

When I visualize it 1080 and 2080 seem to work. But when I picture 1180 and 3080 it seems odd.

I like what certain car manufacturers are doing. Ford GT40. Porsche 911. Honda NSX. Audi A4. Something short and simple.

I miss the Ultra & GX2 name tags.. hmmm
    Titan X Ultra "Sparta Edition" : 3840 Pascal CUDA Cores 16GB 4096Bit HBM2
    GeForce 1080 GX2 "Red Edition": 2x 2560 Pascal CUDA Cores 2x 8GB 256Bit GDDR5X

This could work, hopes Quad  SLI & 4-Way SLI will make major comeback 3dfxx started the Quad SLI Dream with 3dfx Voodoo5 6000, NVIDIA caried it on with 7900 GX2 and beyond
Them good ole days guys, had some lovely tech overkill or not, it's not about need it's about what is possible Madness that being at it's best Bling Bling Bro's

From what i'm reading, the next card to come out will be a refresh and they are not even going to re-name the refresh GPU's. I wouldn't expect anything big until next year.

At least give us something worth paying $500 per GPU for crying out loud.  Some of us like our bang4buck, me for one would rather buy two GPU's for a $1K vs $800 for a freaken sinple GPU....
