Hello, last week I updated my Windows10.
I just clicked shut "down and update" before I sleep. Next 3-4 days I did not open and today I tried to open it and did not open. I mean computer starts normal but does not give any response to USB (keyboard, mouse) and monitor.
I switched keyboard and mouse to unrecognized usb slots this time computer opened but I seen a message like can not start windows10 (damaged etc.) That said put a install or repair usb so I did and restart this time again It did not give response. I switched to unrecognized ones restarted and again not started later so all usb are recognized and I cant open computer any way. I even switched bios or reseted a bios too! There is no damage to any device I am sure. This kind of thing happened after updating windows10 and I re-installed windows and saved it but at this time again updated and same thing happen again. If I fix this issue I may change operating system.

What should I do to open it ? What is the reason of this mysterious issue ?

System info: z370,gtx108hybrid,cpu and gpu liquid cooled,16gb ram, samsung m2 drive.

Gotta love windows updates that nuke your system. Sounds like you need to reinstall windows again, and then disable windows updates completely to fix the problem.

It is possible to go to Microsoft Windows site, and get an identical to your Current version of windows 10 with all the patches already integrated.  Download and place on a flash drive and do install of the updated version .

If your mouse and keyboard aren't responding when you first start the pc you clearly have a hardware problem. Dead keyboard, dead mouse, faulty usb ports, etc. Does your motherboard have a post code readout on it? If yes, what is it getting stuck on?

After you get it working again, you can pause updates for different lengths of time depending on exactly what version of Win10 you have (Home, Pro, etc.) in Windows Update.

What's better is to set your internet connection as a 'Metered Connection' in the Properties of your connection..Windows will not automatically download/install updates over a Metered Connection.

Then get the Show or Hide Updates tool from Micro$haft here..Run it periodically (or create a scheduled Task for it in Task Scheduler) to check for updates and hide the one, or one's, that you don't want.

Run the Show or Hide Updates tool before you run the normal Windows Update.

It is definately NOT recommended to completely disable Windows Update because other important/critical updates will not be installed.

Long story short = Set a Metered Connection and get the Show or Hide Updates tool and hide specific/problematic update/s from the normal Windows Update..Then run the normal Windows Update after that..Works like a charm here.

I see a 4C and keeps turning codes and again 4C like a loop. But I was able to boot the windows10 with unrecognized usbs to mouse and keyboard after recognizing them to pc that stopped responding too.

Noise is not normal..Just keep an eye on it and see how it works.

Windows admitted that this caused by the update and I seen a fail again then that completely removed update: https://support.microsoft...ntly-installed-updates

NOTE THAT UPDATE IS 1903 !
I changed updates to manual even I did that. I got that weird update again and boot damaged again. In the end they removed the update completely. Who's will be responsible possible damage to my CLC device now ?

just installed on my laptop and gaming rig.it went smooth no issues. Benchmarks are all within margin of error. So no increase in performance or loss of performance by updating to windows 1903 on my older hardware. i did have to turn windows fast boot back off
