Found one annoying bug so far.  My Epson XP-960 All in One, connected by USB...isn't always connected.  Every day...I have to troubleshoot the printer before I use.  Once done...it works fine until I start the next day.  Many complaints about the "printer" bug in Windows and Microsoft has know about this for a long time...still have not fixed it

I have the Epson XP-830 All I did was uninstall every bit of software that carried over from Windows 10 into Windows 11. I than downloaded the same Epson software all-in-one pack and everything was fixed.

Didn't work for me.  I have to run the Epson Printer Connection checker every time I boot up for the printer to work properly.  Tons of issues with many brands of printers since Windows 11 release.  Especially for those who connect their printers via USB

If anyone is having any issues with Windows 11...here is a list of potential fixes:  https://www.windowscentra...mon-problems-and-fixes

Try setting up wireless printer function. Perhaps that will fix the problem. I'm set on wireless and running with no issues to date.

Same here. Not sure that I trust Microsoft at this point... Matter fact, I do not trust Microsoft at this point. It always seems like the better option is to wait with Microsoft.

That was the worst Windows experience that I think I've had. I gave it a try on one of my computers and it had a lot of issues going on. My Windows Defender firewall kept switching from running to starting. Nothing would work. The search icon would not work. I couldn't search at all. I tried to bring up a command window and it wouldn't work. My network drives wouldn't connect... I was able to roll back to Windows 10 and now everything is great again.

I bet if I clean installed Windows again it would be fine. I'm just not ready to clean install Windows right now.

I think it is the first update that causes the issues that I was describing. I was able to find information that Microsoft is aware of the issues with the firewall that are caused by the first update. I might try to install Windows 11 again and block that update.

EDIT: Plus, the issues that I was having only started occurring after the first update. Before that update, everything was running fine.

EDIT: Tried to remove the updates and it did not work. What a disaster. It also won't let me roll back now. Microsoft is such a piece of garbage company. Just absolute trash.

Yeah, I would NOT install this OS right now. Wait a good while before you do. This is not my main computer, I wouldn't be that foolish.

I also had a printer issue with my Canon printer but after I left it connected for a few hours it was eventually recognized and working correctly.

I got it working again by downloading the Windows 11 ISO and reinstalling over my current installation. I selected to keep files and apps and now everything is working again. I'm not sure for how long, but hopefully my issues do not return. I might have had a corrupt installation.

I'm not touching Windows 11 until they fix that Ryzen L3 cache latency bug.

I totally reinstalled Windows, sadly. The firewalls issue is gone, but now the Windows store will not start at all. It also won’t let you reset it. None of the fixes found online work. Windows 11 is a complete disaster. I’ll probably have to reinstall Windows 10 again. Microsoft is a trash company.

It really is sad that this is how bad Microsoft has become. This is obviously not ready for the general population. It is a beta at best. Luckily, this is my secondary PC, so all that will be lost is the time trying to fix it.

I ended up doing the same and now the Microsoft store won’t open.

Edit: I gave up on getting the store to work for now. I really don’t need it and never used it in Windows 10 anyway. I’m sure they’ll eventually fix it with a future update. Needless to say, I will not be installing Windows 11 on my main PC anytime soon.

I do think the issue is related to the fact that when I check my devices, on my Microsoft account online, it says I am still on Windows 10… I don’t believe the Windows 11 store will work if it thinks you are using 10.

Re: Windows 11 official rollout 2021/10/20 18:57:39 (permalink)
I fought it for too long and then ended up just formatting my drives and reinstalling clean. Everything works great now. I really believe now that Windows 11 needs to be installed this way. I even tried the option to delete all files and applications, but it still seemed to have traces of my old system. After deleting the drives and reinstalling it’s been great. Had to do the same on my laptop as well. I might eventually try my main computer… Eventually.

Overall, I do believe Windows 11 has a lot of potential after it matures for a while.
