Still doesn't convince me to upgrade you hear me Hippi-soft not doing it.😼

Those who abuse power, are nothing but scumbags! The challenge of power is how to use it and not abuse it. The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. You can take a nice person and turn them into a slob, into an insane being, craving power, destroying anything that stands in their way.

Unless you buy the Russian version of Windows 11 and an English language pack.

gutcheck

Can you imagine the legion of normies trying to figure this out.  I bet they drop the requirement.

Nah, more likely that OEM behavior will change.  The TPM requirement is sensible (and likely unavoidable), leaving it disabled by default isn't.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a sudden explosion in BIOS updates that just make that one change.

🤔 very helpful suggestion. Didn't think of this before.

Can a MOD be a nice lad and give a fellow MOD a BR?😸

^^What could possibly go wrong with that? Easy access hacks?

It wasn't long ago we played this stupid game with MS, for W10. Is revenue that bad?

I got a white screen error instead of a blue screen error and couldn't use my computer. Therefore, when I restarted it, a bug that seemed to be mixed with Windows 10 occurred, and it was necessary to initialize it.

Finally got the Pro version. Interesting, the Home version requires you to make a Microsoft Account during the first boot, Pro does not require this and you can make a local account during first boot.

Almost forgot download here. Used a Windows 10 Pro key to activate the Pro version.

Windows 11 will not install on my X570 unless I enable the TPM. Every time there is a BIOS update the UEFI is reset so this clobbers the TPM back to default etc so I disable it

I'm surprised they're giving it out for free, or at least a free upgrade. Hopefully it's smoother then 8/10

I am sure that giving it away for free saves money in the long run on support for Windows 10 that they would have to do. It will become a lot easier to kill off Windows 10 like they did with Windows 7 when they just can tell people the upgrade away from it is free.

Use an Associates Code & SAVE 5% - 10% on your purchase. Just click on the associates banner to save, or enter the associates code at checkout on your next purchase. If you choose to use my code I want to personally say "Thank You" for using it.

Re: Windows 11 2021/07/10 06:46:03 (permalink)
Win 11 meh, not my interest,  'm still using Win7 Pro x64 UK + SP1 for my mains & WIn2K Pro UK + SP4 for my retro's, these Operating systems are fine for my needs Win10 doesn't offer me anything that I'd find useful.

Then again I have no interested in an other bloated OS like Win10 was, to me it's atrocious, the entire idea named simplicity is lacking.
Also I don't see Win 11 being anything more practical, this also proves that Microsoft lied to all of you that Win 10 isn't their last OS, not even I'd call an OS, more like some tablet software.
And an OS being free lie from Microsoft is a scary act tbh, they steal your personal information and make money from it and this is how they earned money from your personal information, I don't see Win11 being much different.

And if I can't use Win 7 not going to care about it  Linux will be waiting for me then.
the program never10 saved my systems from the forced Win10 bloatware updates.
This saved me a lot of unwanted issues.

Then again I'm a retro guy so these new gen Operating systems are useless to me anyway, just a worry less as well.
My main system is 10 years old and so far it does everything I need it to do at 1600p even being if games are involved.

Well, you definitely have to figure out your way around in the os. Why must Microsoft go putting the same settings in new locations?

It does, but I wonder as we get closer to the actual release date, if MS may "temporarily" relax or have a work around for that requirement.

Disconnect the ethernet cable and it lets you skip the MS account. Once the local account is created, plug it back in.
They started pushing the account crap with the later versions of Windows 10 too.
