Good morning all,

Recently I upgrade my rig from 12700k to 13700k. My motherboard from MSI MPG to Asus Strix Z690-E.
I created the USB install disk and a clean installation was executed.

Everything was installed properly, all drivers updated(Chipset, Lan, Audio, etc) and Windows.
Currently, the install came with Geforce v512 driver. Everything working properly. I could execute games and 3Dmark(Increase from 37k points to 42k in Firestrike).

However, when I tried to install the new drivers(V526) or any other previous version, the driver install, but my resolution stays at 1024x768.
I tried to change the update the driver from the Device Manager, Update from Geforce Experience, Deactivating the integrated graphics,  but still not working. The driver is active, but does not work properly.

I also tried a fresh install using windows 11 and I had a similar problem. In this case, I'm sticking with the driver version v418.

NOTE: I ran the DDU to clean up all drivers in Safe Mode, but the results are the same.
Any suggestions? I'm running old of ideas.
Thanks

    More information:

I tested with different the cables(Display port) and issue persists. In one of the tests, the resolution increased to 1440p, but the frequency was limited to 59.99hz (My monitor is an Aorus FI27Q - 1440p/165hz).

When I changed the monitor, to a FI32Q it worked fine.

I could assume is something with the  monitor, but, how to explain the fact it works with the old nvidia driver?

    Thanks

Issue fixed, I updated my firmware.
With new driver, I was not even able to connect at the firmware uploader.
I returned to old driver which was working, updated the firmware and return to the new driver.

Is a fresh window installation necessary when you change GPUs?

    Lol. No.

I often wandered why I see a lot of people who do this.  I thought maybe I was missing something.
