The only things Pro really gives you over Home as a home user is access to Bitlocker drive encryption if you want it, and a lot more RAM than you'll ever fit in a consumer motherboard even on Home.  (Intel 11xx sockets and AMD AMx sockets)  The other big benefit and the main one I used it for was the ability to defer updates etc but they've made a lot of improvements to how updates are handled now on Home as well (and actually cut back options on Pro).

I actually read an article the other day that Pro is kind of like the version MS wishes they didn't have.  They really intended it for business use but they want larger companies to use Enterprise instead.  Pro is maybe more of a niche spot for say small businesses at this point.  The only reason I even have Pro is because I game with a friend that works for MS and he gave me friends/family access to get a copy.  I would buy Home for personal use if I had to buy a new copy from normal retail channels.

Oh, I forgot a couple of things that make Pro worth it for home use if you need the features, you can initiate a remote desktop session to other PC's on your home network, and also for people like me that like to play with Linux/etc. you can set up Hyper-V to create virtual machines.  Yes there are third party solutions but having it built in is nice.

Can get a Win10 retail key from KEY1024, $35 for Home or $40 for Pro.

Last year I rolled the dice and purchased a key on KEY1024 for Office Home & Student 2016 but got Office Pro Plus 2016 and took like maybe 1-2 hrs to get the email with product key in it.

You can buy from Kinguin too.
There are lots of places to go that are 66% cheaper than Amazon, Microsoft ect.
In this case Google can be your friend.

One big thing (for me anyway) Pro has over Home is the Group Policy Editor.  I control a lot of how Windows works with that tool.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.  I've used it a few times as well, but not very often.
