hey y'all, I started my new build today, its in rough shape but it boots. When I tried to get windows installed on a SSD, it would not on either partition. Is there a way I can correctly format my drive so Windows will install WITHOUT being able to  use another PC.

Asus RIVE
Intel 3960x
Corsair ax1200
Coolmaster CosmosII
Mushkin pc3 16 gigs
corsair H100
eVGA gtx 980 ti SLI
Windows 7 64

Delete both partitions and try again. The install windows screen should automatically setup partitions from unallocated space when you try again.

ok, got it installed and now I have a question.. How to make Windows 10 not suck? I cant even bring up a webpage. I have gone though and turned off alot of their crap that hogs the bandwith but its still super slow.

Sounds like your isp may be having a problem, or the site you're trying to visit is having issues.

Could it be windows is downloading updates in the background without you knowing?
The settings you disabled through the installation process could still be enabled once windows is completely installed.
After each windows updates you have to revisit the settings you previously disabled and make sure these are still disabled.
I use spybot antibeacon to disable more things such as telemetry info that microsoft collects as well. Cortana used to slow my laptop & browsing experience, so I've disabled it and moved on to google chrome...

This could be the case, I just brought it up this morning and the update is at 95%.
