I've been playing around with Windows 10 game mode in the creator's update. I have seen some improvement in DX11 gaming but DX12 gaming doesn't seem to make too much difference, but I need to play several more games to see if there is a difference.

I'm running 2 monitors and a TV on my system with the Creators update.  I haven't had any issue's or anything different than any prior Windows versions.  And yes, you will have to go through all the settings again.  Partly because there are some new one's, and partly because that's just how MS is these days...

My biggest complaint with this update is that they took away the advanced font sizing for specific things they had before.  Now all that's left is scaling.  When you're running multi monitors with different resolutions, changing from 100% to anything higher looks like crap on my secondary monitors.

There are a couple other suprises in the way Windows Defender works along with SmartScreen.  Not sure I like it yet, but to soon to make a judgement.

FYI you can set monitor specific DPI scaling, they don't all have to be the same.

Losing the color profile is really making me mad. Its so damn annoying when it does happen coming in/out of a game depending on game. Well I use ICC profile so games that hold onto them its fine. Others that don't default to Windows color profile. Um I am getting stuttering and did not even think about game mode causing that until now! Thanks I am disabling it now.

Of course.  But like I said, changing the whole monitor DPI scaling (on 1 monitor, 100% to 125% etc.) makes the other monitors text unreadable or "like crap".  My post above was about them removing the specific advanced sizing of specific text.

Personally, I suggest using the Windows Media Creation Tool (WMCT) to get the ISO (I selected both (x64 and x86)), put the ISO to a disc/USB stick (it's faster using a tool like Rufus than Windows' own WMCT media burner/copier), then running the setup.exe separately. Remember to perform the Disk Cleanup afterwards, including System files.

how do you enable gaming mode?

When starting any game press the windows key and the letter G to open the game bar. Once the game bar is open choose the game bar settings and select game mode.
