I will wait until I get 3rd gen Threadripper and new motherboard and I'll do a clean install at that time.

1909? I am still on 1809 and waiting for 1903 to be available on my computer. Hmm... EDIT: I think that I am finally getting 1903 to download. I tried everything that I had read before, it didn't work, and the last thing I read is that I should just wait for Microsoft to make it available on my PC. Well, I did some more looking and found that if I changed from delivery channel "Semi-Annual Channel" to "Semi-Annual Channel (Targeted)" in Windows Update Settings, it is now finally attempting to download instead of just giving me an almost-instant error code. Whether or not it will install successfully is yet to be seen.

OK, more MS fun to be had.
I'll wait for the Beta testers to give some feedback on this new & improved Version before installing it

That is what the Windows Insider program is for. However it might be prudent to wait a bit after release and see if anything wrong is reported. Even beta testers can't catch everything.

I always wait a little bit after it goes live for the simi annual updates after problems in the past like Windows Explorer having missing user files or corrupting them. If I remember right that was 1809 so not really wanting to try 1909 first day.

Just got 1809 on my SurfacePro last month. I wonder why they are so slow to deliver current OS's to their own hardware?

I know all about the "Insider Program" That reference of "Beta Testers" is my sarcastic reference to those "early adopters" as Microsoft continues on many occasions to Push updates they "knew / or should have known" --> Where Broken. Even Weeks after receiving end user reports that the updates were breaking systems; Microsoft Continued to Push (force) the updates on to systems with total disregard
