The cards haven't even been out a month yet, and tsmc is having yield issues.

Just wait.. wait for the next great thing and then when it is hard to buy, wait for the next next great thing. Or be patient...

Well, we had the coin miners last year, and this year, we got Nvidia booking out the TSMC fab with full reticle-sized die.

I think that seeing the 2070 make it to market will be a good sign that we will see a ramp up in production. Really though we will not be seeing something like the mining days again. It would take them three times as long to get a return on investment as it would a year ago.

I don't thinks it's about TSMC yields since the same process is in use by AMD for Zen+ which has fantastic yields.
This is not some new process, but a refined very same as before. It could've been named "16nm+++".

nVidia is maybe simply keeping the production low. They're probably trying to pressure 10-series sales since AIBs and nVidia itself have a huge amount of those. nVidia forced AIBs to buyout all the preorders.

I think that's the case as well.

I think if that had been the case, it would have been much simpler just to delay release of the cards.

Might be, but it makes me wonder... 7nm is definitely going to volume prod. in 2019. I somehow don't think nVidia is going to let AMD take the market with it. 7nm yields significant density improvements.
What could've made nVidia rush Turing out? 7nm? I suspect Turing was not ready (as our developer SDKs weren't either and still aren't complete), but 2019 and 7nm are soon, CES is soon. I believe nVidia and AMD will go with a new series on 7nm in 2019 and make Turing short-lived.

what is the EVGA on line shop that cater for south Asia? ( i assume there is none) trying to get a EVGA rtx 2070 gaming black edition but newegg/amazon dose not have it in stock. my only option it seems is to find someone wiith a US billing address and work with that person to pre order the item.

My 2080TI FE from Nvidia will be here on the 23rd.  I have to admit that I really hated to leave the EVGA fold but the wait was just too much so I ordered directly from Nvidia.

I hope it takes a while! I got a pile of unused hardware for my build and it's all making amazing paperweights and door stops. /s

But yeah in all honesty it's taking a lot of patience now, It's been very tempting to just grab an FE or Zotac 2080 ti, since they've been out for a little while now. But yeah I got my heart set on the FTW3, I guess I'm in it for the long run.

I don't understand why I can't just order what I want and when it comes in stock, ship it.

This e-mail notification thing is maddening. Don't get me started on the one per household nonsense. Nvidia will happily take your money and sell you two.

The notifications are almost worthless unless you're on the link minutes after it hits your in-box.

I haven't received one for the FTW3, at all.

The Nvidia reference 20180 ti has been in stock all day. Hopefully that is good news. This is going to be my last week holding out for an Evga FTW. Come the 29th I am pulling the trigger on what ever I can get. Please just let me order and take my money. If I have to wait a few weeks for it to be shipped I am good with that at least then I'd know I will get one.

The RTX cards have considerably more components than the previous generation so they are more complex to build, so it takes longer. In time supply will begin to grow, so patience is the key.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

This is becoming super tempting. When they cut off pre-orders the ship date was showing pushed back to December which is why I decided to wait for EVGA RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid. Now that they are available to order again and would get it by November I'm back to considering picking up the FE

Jacob published a photo of the 12 FTW3s that were shipped yesterday. Guess that concludes 12 US customers this week.
If only EVGA would disclose how many dozens of US customers/weeks are left so they can move on to EU.

The FE isn’t in stock. It’s a preorder with an estimated ship date. Still, worlds better than an email notification in which availability is nearly instantly back to zero.
