Will older GPU's work with newer MotherBoards?

My EVGA X79 Dark too a dump on me, it's out of warranty, I need to get a new board. Do you think those new ASRock X399 Taichi's with a AMD CPU would be compatible with the older EVGA 980 Ti Hybrids? (I attached the board Slot specs)...Thanks

    You should be just fine unless your motherboard manufacturer really messed things up.

    You should be just fine unless your motherboard manufacturer really messed things up.


    Yeah I've been loyal to Intel Processors and EVGA for a long time, but I figured I would give AMD a try. I just didn't want to get stuck with a board that I can't use since I invested in four 980 Ti's to use with the board.
