Hello all,
 
Will my current system (see signature) be a significant bottleneck for the RTX 3080 or 3090 in 1440p 144Hz gaming? Just wondering if I can make it through another year or 2 with my current setup before going for a new build completely.

    My friend is running i7 6700k with a 3070 and games at 1440. Not saying his CPU is not a bottleneck in the link, but he has only seen vast improvements in the titles he plays. I think he upgraded from a 970. Whether or not you hit a bottleneck will vary from game to game. On my older system, which is i5 2500k  with a 3070 at 1920x1080, ARMA3 is pegged out in every aspect and the performance is great. On the other hand, Ground Branch that ran fine no my 1080, is slower on the 3070.

    Found a cool site says id have a 2% bottleneck on a 4 year old cpu LOL! #winning!
