Planning on buying a used 1080 Ti SC2, the seller sent me pictures and I noticed that the cooler had a scratch on it, I am wondering if this will void the warranty because I know that in EVGA's warranty terms it does say that the warranty will be void if there is physical damage. Thanks for any help.

No that looks like normal wear, from the way that picture looks Physical damage to the PCB would be an issue The warranty covers normal use & not abuse Congrats on your first post

Ahh okay. So I guess it will be okay if I choose to buy it. Thank you so much for your help, and haha, I'm sure it won't be the last. Cool GTX moving to Warranty section of Forums

Cool GTX select your part of the World - the select the product type to read the Terms check out this to learn your way around the EVGA Forums especially #14 about posting links & PM Hope to see you around the Forums
Just read that they can void the warranty if they deem the scratch too deep, so I guess I'll avoid buying this card just in case. Thank you, I'll take a look at the thread now. Likewise :)

I don't see that scratch voiding the warranty, but evga may charge you a service fee to replace/fix the shroud before allowing you to rma.

I would have though with evga it would have been no problem but I really feel there support is getting to be like every large company now once they get a customer base they don't care. I waiting for months for software fixes or even a reply and got nothing.

Physical damage would void the warranty unfortunately. Based on the image that the seller provided, it is a bit difficult to tell whether or not the scratch the on shroud of the graphics card is deep or not. If it is a light scratch there shouldn't be an issue but the definition of a light scratch can obviously been interpreted in different ways depending on the person. My recommendation would be to ask for a better picture of the scratch or to steer clear of that particular graphics card to avoid any confusion in the future if you ever wanted to do a RMA. So if you get a better picture, please PM me the image and I can check what your options would be in the future. While we monitor the forums daily, for these particular questions, contacting our support team at support@evga.com or giving us a call at 1.888.881.3842 would be the better options as we can check in real time with management. outlaw1968 I would have though with evga it would have been no problem but I really feel there support is getting to be like every large company now once they get a customer base they don't care. I'm sorry to hear that, there was no request for a follow up so in that sense I apologize about the confusion. I reviewed your emails sent, new versions of DG Tuner have been released and should resolve the issue that you were experiencing. You can find the software here https://www.evga.com/dgtuner/ If you run into any issues feel free to get in touch with our customer support team.
