Hi,
I've just got an E5 1650v4 (Broadwell-EP) so I'm thinking about get a X99 Classified mobo
Just a simple question :"will this mobo work with E5 1650V4 ? and what's maximum memory bus they can reach?"

Thanks

It should work with the BIOS that supports Broadwell-E, which did not come stock with the X99 Classified but can be updated by requesting a pre-flashed removable BIOS chip from EVGA (if you already haven't updated the X99 Classy with an Haswell-E CPU installed).

Just like the 26xx series, the V4 series is multiplier locked. I was unable to run faster than the max supported RAM speed on my X99 Classified board using a locked chip. For Broadwell-E that is 2400MHz RAM speed.

That said, I do have a 1660V3 that is multiplier unlocked that can run higher memory speeds (3200MHz worked for me).

I have my E5-1620v4 working on X99 Micro2 with the latest BIOS.
I don't know whether it supports ECC RDIMM on this motherboard or not.
    I'm running 8GB x 2 Non-ECC Unbufferred DDR4-2400 with it.

EVGA's X99 line doesn't support ECC RAM, and those that I've read about trying it wound up returning their ECC RAM because they couldn't boot with it.
