I recently (well for some time now) heard that a distributor sells RTX 3080ti for 3500$ but this card supposes to launch in June. Has Nvidia respond to this? Will Nvidia have any countermeasure to prevent this from happening again, or they just simply don't care?

Desperately looking for a RTX 3080ti

Are you sure that really happened and isn't an unverified rumor?

    Yes:  https://www.tomsguide.com/news/someone-is-already-selling-the-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-for-dollar3500
However, they will have to wait for the new drivers to have them function correctly.

If they haven't responded to this I'm sure they will. But who knows how much a 3080ti will actually cost. If it's only 1000-1400 I feel like that is way more then what a card is worth.

The MSRP has been tagged at between $999 and $1,199 given the original price of RTX 3090, but nothing has been announced.  Unfortunately, MSRP is a bit of a misnomer given the proliferation of bots and scalpers.  Until normalcy comes to this market, I personally will not be looking to buy anything.  Let’s hope the consumers revolt before the GPU markets becomes like athletic shoes.  There is an entire sub-market where shoes are sold for way more than the MSRP with collectors and others driving up prices.

If you look at the 3 in the “3080 Ti” there is a weird white spot, which makes me think it is a doctored image.

If distributors are breaking the embargo, It would be likely the manufacturer would be held accountable. The UAE is known to have money which is why the scalping would be optimal there.

It depends on whether Nvidia can do anything. For all we know those cards sold gone through gray or even black market channels so Nvidia can't track them even if they had the serial number, or go to distributors that they can't legally challenge about this (maybe the country's law wouldn't recognize the embargo's legalaities) or is not worth suing for. For all we know, that sort of stuff is the relative norm there and as long as it stays there (and it doesn't happen too often), it's not that big of an issue. Without the drivers the card is useless anyway.

Just like the Intel i7-11700k, distributors were not bound by the embargo and started selling as soon as they got stock in the EU, so I wouldn’t doubt the same thing happens with video cards.

It sold for 3500 I believe, which is basically scalper price

I think this thread is about embargo, not price.

Has there been any evidence or proof to this claim? This sounds like the claim that Nvidia was selling cards directly to the crypto market.
