Will NVIDIA produce new dual gpu graphics cards in the future? or is the Titan Z flagship graphics card the end of the technology road map for NVIDIA's dual GPU solution?

What a vague question. Anyone capable of answering that question won't be reading this.

And why wouldn't they? Perhaps no one can answer the question because there has not been any leaks.

With crypto mining getting bigger, this would be a great way to get miners to jump on a dual gpu card and let the gamers have at it with the single gpu cards.

What an intelligent response. Thank you! This is the kind of information I love to hear about. It's a great topic and conversation ice breaker for those that get my point.

Onboard SLI has been done in the past.... As SLI is declining* - I'm not sure there would be any advantage *(because the drivers need to be written by the game publishers / coders)

That's one area that seems to lag in general is on the developers side of tech. While the hardware is top end. The software slowly plays catch up. I hope that's one area where things get improved. One company I love is Rock Star. They thrive to supporting SLI and their software scales well on many platforms. For example GTA V Has amazing calibration tools for the graphics settings.

I believe that's because of console porting. They don't make the games like they used to meaning prioritizing PC gaming until the cash cow consoles showed up and changed everything. If my memory serves me correctly, I've been hearing rumors of a console (can't recall) making one more debut before they end that brand. On a good note, if NVLink shows up, that's great news for multi GPU greatness. Especially for those that want top notch eye candy in high res and or multi screen.

If they launch this generation with a Ti version, I think it's safe to assume a dual GPU xx90 will come later.

Dual GPU driven cards aren't really needed any more (in my opinion) and in addition less and less game developers are supporting any type of SLI.

On the Quadro cards, the NVLink adds up memory from each card, unlike SLi only uses the amount of memory of one card. So with NVLink, if you put two 12GB cards together you get 24GB of usable memory, whereas SLi you only get 12GB of usable memory.

NVLINK and developers will drag on to gain support the same way SLI did with only one hand full of games to support it. I think I'll go for a healthy jog and paint my house by the time NVLink will be fully utilized. RTX lighting effects didn't seem to wow me over either based on the available screenshots and video demos. I can just get one of those HDR G-Sync monitors coming in Q4 and stick with 1440p which is the sweet spot for gaming.

With Nvidia bailing on SLI (and subsequently devs) I don't see a dual GPU card coming out in a very long time or ever unless they change their tune on SLI/NVLink

Exactly, these tech heads are not business savvy. They do not come to the knights round table and layout partnership requirements for devs/programmers. Everyone seems to be going in different directions. The push for NVLink might flop like SLI. I am not upgrading just because there is RTX tracing/lighting. I will drop money on the new monitors that are coming out in Q4 has noted. The only thing a 2080 Ti RTX is good for is bragging rights on the tech forums. I will pass on this wave.

I'm half way there with you. I'm going to wait on reviews before I write off the 20 series. I have a feeling they're not that big of jump above Pascal outside of Ray Tracing solely because Nvidia said nothing. If the 2080ti was 200% the performance of a 1080ti you bet your ass they would have mentioned that.

EPIC FAIL! Will Pass. I don't need bragging rights on forums among nerds just to have the latest worse hardware. Then again it's only one review. It might be true and if so then it's a great way to take the fast pass and bypass all the hype of 2080 Ti RTX.
