I wish they would branch out to AMD as well. I don’t see intel being worth while soon but have had a great history with EVGA. AM4 x570 please. Intel road map have been lack luster.

They made AMD boards back in the day, NForce baby! We simply don't know the real background story on why they don't make AMD boards anymore. I've seen people say its because they have exclusive partnerships with nVidia and Intel but this exclusivity hasn't given them any advantage over the other mfgs, as far as I can tell.

I plan in building a Ryzen 3300x fun rig. I am not sure what board I will use, probably Asus. I guess we'll all be surprised if we ever see something like an EVGA x570 Dark

I think the last board EVGA made for amd was the Nforce 580a or 590a SLI board on the AM2 platform. That was my second custom made computer with the AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000. As far as Nvidia chip sets were concerned the last chip set that supported AMD was the Nforce 780a for the Phenom chips. I don't remember if they were for Phenom 1 and 2.

If you use my code let me know so i can thank you via pm.

I'm finally reaching money savings levels to where I can start looking into what board and CPU I can buy. No one knows for sure at this point, but it's looking like getting the top tier Ryzen with a X570 board will end up yielding more processing power and speeds than Intel's same tier, and the combo will be about half as costly. To top it off, it doesn't sound like Intel's coming out with anything new for a while longer.

I decided to take a look at the current X470 boards to see what the X570 ones will likely look like. I'm having a hard time finding non-RGB and Creative Sound Core audio. Basically I want a EVGA Dark board, but don't want to be super disappointed spending double the money to get half the power.
This is all still speculation. I mean, no numbers are out yet, so I could be totally wrong.

I doubt that a z390 Dark board and an I9-9900k would be double the price and half the power of AMDs new offerings. The Dark series of boards are premium mobos so you're paying more for them. At present, x470 are a bit more affordable but until we get pricing for x570 boards we can't make a comparison. The Ryzen 9 3850 is rumored to be $500 so you would be paying close to an Intel based system. I am excited to see the price and performance of the new chips and boards. I don't use on-board sound so I can careless what codec they use. If you don't like the lighting, simply turn it off.

nForce 730a, actually.

If you remember back to that time, we used nForce chipsets, not Intel chipsets (or AMD chipsets, for that matter).  It would be more accurate to say that we made NVIDIA motherboards that had either Intel or AMD CPU support.  When NVIDIA chose to discontinue its motherboard chipset business, we decided to work exclusively with Intel, and have continued that partnership ever since.

Right but the Ryzen 9 3850 is also suppose to have more cores than the I9-9900k, so it would better be compared to the I9-X line. Anyway, yeah. We can't know just yet.
I admit I don't use on-board sound either, but I am kind of hoping the creative one would be good enough. I've had a lot of bad experiences with realtek, so if I can avoid them that would be optimal.

It's the principle of the lighting though. I would much rather pay a couple bucks less than have any sort of money wasted on engineering/manufacturing/programming of the lighting in my board that I'm either never going to turn on, or if I leave it on, never going to see because it's in a black box under the desk.

I just want to say something.

I am a huge EVGA fan.  Please make a highend X570 board.  I have my sights set on buying an Aorus Xtreme X570 for one feature.  Passive chipset cooling.  Could you please consider building a Dark X570?  I want that baby to be THICC.  You know what I'm sayin?  I want my Corsair MP600 to look like a beast in there.

As mentioned previously EVGA is an Intel partner and I don't believe an AMD motherboard from EVGA will come to fruition any time soon. AMD would need to pickup far more CPU consumer marketshare first before EVGA would even consider it.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

Well then as an EVGA fan I will attempt to make it worth your while.  I love your video cards and I love your Dark series.  Nothing more Dark horse than AMD. Exciting times. Cheers.

After learning the expected prices of the X570 boards, maybe it will be cheaper to do an Intel build. All the benchmarks I've seen though show Ryzen 3000s coming out on top.
Anyway, because I can't muster the patience, I'll probably end up buying a lower-end X570. Seems even those are better or up to par with the high-end X470s.

Maybe I'll look at Intel and EVGA again for my next build or if AMD fails me.

Now if only we could trick them (actually any company) into making pure SLC SSDs with capacities over 2TB and yet somehow affordable at the same time, we might have a need for PCIe 4.

Well..  it's the 5th of november 2020 and the new Ryzen line-up with the 5000 series just called.. beating intel to a crisp in single and hyperthreading workloads. Like the 10900K is perfoming worse than a 5900X, while the 5950X is the best AM4 Zen3 chip at this time. Hell, I even considered selling of my x299 board with the 10980XE but I would prob not get what I want for it since AMD is a far better option right now lol. There is also a lack of decent beautifull full Dark non-RGB boards, I love my DARK board! I would get a Dark AM4 x570 board if they ever made one.

EVGA will not make an X570/B550 board, because they intel shills
Even now, when Intel losing in all directions, including gaming and single core performance, they will not make it
Their mainstream motherboards are bad and no one buying them, so you have nothing to lose
Only X299 DARK/FTWK can fit somewhat, but always has less features than Asus Rampage
