If ever EVGA ever did decide to make a motherboard for AMD I would like to see them make a Threadripper motherboard first...but of course that will never happen.

Maybe EVGA will sell Intel GPUs. First we will have to see how good they are.
This would be highly unlikely since a NVIDIA product would be just as good and it would take extra training for support. With the Geforce software it really doesn't make a difference what card you own the menus in the driver software are about the same.

Almost every other manufacturer sells both brands - it only makes sense to double your chances of income.

I am just surprised how tests of the 3080 and 3090 really don’t show the AMD systems pull ahead even in CPU intensive games like flight simulator

My guess, EVGA is so locked down with exclusive contracts that they are stuck for now, unfortunately. I dont doubt that theres some tinkering going on in the workshops though.

Not unusual given MS Flight Simulator is DX11 only... which means there's one single thread handling most of the draw calls. Flight Simulator will have to get the announced DX12 upgrade next year before it is capable of spreading the rendering load across more cores better. If the single-thread perf of Zen 3 is half as good as some of the leaks imply then it may change things even without DX12, though...
 Have water, will cool.

EVGA as a brand is one of my favorite and safe to say the are on top of their field.
They are probably aware of AMD becoming for sure in 2021 the main used CPU all around the world.
Either EVGA sits on some promise by Intel (or $$$ "Please dont leave us") for the future... or the motherboard sells not that huge % that they should care... or they are already looking into partnering with AMD and manufacturing their boards.
As of now the balance is 30-70 for Intel in CPU, but that will rapidly change.

I still am wondering if Intel will pull ahead. They definitely have the money to put up.
The sad reality is that even if you have all the money in the world you can barely catch up in 3 years, to 10 years worth of research and innovation. (Especially on a faulty and old architecture that you exploited to death) Just as how Radeon has almost no chance of catching Nvidia, even if they catch up with speed, they will still run after the innovative features Nvidia has to offer.

no I had the Intel version I had the Intel core 2 duo E7400 in there. I did not know much about building computers back then i had to learn on the fly.

Since an AMD board existed in the past, maybe it can exist in the future, but I'm in the middle of a build, so I'll have to forego EVGA for Motherboard and RAM. At least their PSU and (eventually) their GPU will be in my new system. Looking forward to a pretty high-end gaming system after enjoying over 5 years on my existing.

EVGA could increase AMD profit by 20% at least in the first 6 months with motherboards for Ryzen, Threadripper and new AMD Radeon Graphic Cards.

Right now you could still argue that a on a chiller or a 3175X has more lanes than a 5xxx series Ryzen and clocks higher than present Threadripper. But the next TRs will change that and then it'll be the first time in many years where EVGA don't have a top dog motherboard.

Ya, intel is REALLY lagging behind right now, they will eventually catch up, but until they can shrink their process, AMD will be the kings of performance for several years to come. Unless intel is just shoveling money towards EVGA, there doesn't seem to be a good reason for them to not make AMD motherboards. I would love to see a K|NGP|N Threadripper board.
