Does anyone know if the EVGA Hybrid GTX Cooler will fit the ASUS Turbo GTX 1070??? I know it's not on the official compatible list but the same goes with the NZXT Kraken G10 and Asus Turbo GTX 1070 (not listed as compatible but fits just fine)...

I've heard (but don't know for sure) that the Asus Turbo GTX 1070 may have a couple of slightly taller components, so it's perhaps not 100% reference, but it may not be significant. I would much rather use EVGA's Hybrid Cooler kit over the Kraken G10 if possible but I can't seem to find a definitive answer one way or the other...

Can anyone shed some light on the matter??

Unfortunately the pcb design on the ASUS GTX TURBO card differs significantly from the one found on the reference founder's edition cards.
The peripheral cooler retention holes are approximately 0.5mm offset, the see the attached foto.

I tried to fit it on my ASUS GTX 1080 TURBO card with no success.

Thank you, you just saved me a lot of time.. I was really hoping it was just the capacitors and it wouldn't matter.  Wonder if I could just mount the waterblock and not have the fan lol

You can fit it without a problem if you remove the aircooler heatsink and discard the ASUS LOGO strip on the side. The watercooler hoses are a little offset relatively to the opening but are flexible enough to the bend radius. I took a piece of black plastic and modified it to seal the cooler, keeping the stock fan. ASUS's cooler is just a piece of thin and easily bending aluminum sheet covering VRM and VRAM and a small vapor chamber with fins covering the GPU core. Pay a lot of attention when removing the chamber which is mounted only on a small regress with no screws, as its weight and the force needed to detach it could bend the aluminum base easily!

Oh hey cool.  I do enjoy modding.  This could be worth the effort.

So to get this straight: From the stock asus shroud - remove the copper GPU heatsink (and asus logo plastic), but leave the the thin aluminum sheet (aka cold plate) that has the thermal pads for VRM and VRAM?  I guess to be clear, you are using the ORIGINAL Asus plastic shroud/housing, metal vrm/vram plate & Blower fan with the EVGA hybrid pump?  Appreciate your contributions in this thread!

This is exactly what i did. The trick is to route the hoses from the gpu area parallel to the long axis of the card towards the blower fan area and exit to the side. It is a tight fit nontheless the results are outstanding, 120% power with no overvolting in gpu tweak results in at least 2025MHz and temps around 46 to 47 C! If you are in for it you can use a white semitransparent white piece of plastic, cut the holes for the tubes, cut it in half, type an adhesive logo of your taste and let it glow in the dark! Asus has Led Lights already on the pcb to shine its own logo.

You rock.  Thanks for coming back to a thread a year later with an update and details.  I'm going to see if I can't find someone that wants to swap my Turbo for an FE, otherwise I'll be down to do some light modding.  I have a solid non-windowed Define S so I don't mind the looks, just noise and performance =)
