Well I bought the board when it was on sale for $120.00 and yes it does run my i7 8700k @ 5.0ghz without a sweat but I want to try 6.0ghz so that's why I was looking at the Z390 Dark.

Generally, products aren't guaranteed to be added to the Step-Up list.  Since the board is brand new, and stock is very limited, it may take some time to be added to the Step-Up list, if it is added at all.

Customers that have purchased the Z390 Dark are only able to run there processors @ 5.2Ghz Stable . I am sticking with my $120 motherboard
