They only exsist to meet that MSRP rebate that was avaliable to AIBs.
You really dont want one tho. Even the XC3 gaming and ultra are a bad buy compared to getting a FTW.

You really dont want one tho. Even the XC3 gaming and ultra are a bad buy compared to getting a FTW.
The XC3 Ultra and gaming are just fine, and not even in the slightest a "bad buy". Ignore this guy's nonsense. If you want maximum overclocking though, you do want to go with the FTW.

Iv got a XC3. Iv even made a thread about it on here showing benchmarks to prove what I said. They are a bad buy and thats fact. 3090 XC3 gets matched by 3080 FTW cards, 350/366W is not enough for a 3090 card. The Black edition shouldnt exsist since the back vram is already getting close to limit with a back plate cooling it. Black edition doesnt have a back plate at all, Which is probably why you cant even buy it. Its just there to say hey look we have a MSRP priced card. 3080 XC3 very slightly faster then a 2080ti, Its also gimped by power limit. People are getting stuck at 320W board powerlimit instead of the 340/366W because the 250W chip power limit. Along with all the reports of bad temps and failing to even reach advertised boost clocks. Hence they are a bad buy. Take a few mins and go read some threads.

That's such an absurd claim, I don't know what poor performance you are getting based on your thread, but maybe you should consider an RMA. Good read and good response. If I went by my own anecdotal experience I'd be claiming it's a fact that a 2080 Super is impossible to keep cool

I went from a 2080 Ti to a 3090 XC3 Ultra and I'm thrilled with the performance improvement. I don't think there's solid availability of anything right now, and of course companies are going to focus on the higher margin units while demand is this high.
