All the more reason to register any semi-expensive product that you buy, regardless of manufacturer.

No doubt. Having a product registered has saved me from hunting ancient receipts a few times.

Too bad EVGA isn't doing anything about the mass amount of spamming brand new accounts. Seeing counting threads with hundreds of pages and stuff. So dumb.

Well, I think it's better if the spamming is being kept in those threads. Also there could be more people like me: I'm a member of another forum for about 8 years now, and I only have 30 somethings posts. I mostly read it, but hardly ever post anything. So people who are acting like me are forced to kinda spam if they want their elite membership. To be honest it doesn't really feel elite if anyone can get it with a 100 forum posts tho.

This is like a good idea ....and it’s also a bad idea. People will start posting whatever just to get the count. But then again here we are.

This is my biggest take away from this. I really need to start registering products and/or taking photos of the SNs.
I'm one of the "spammers" right now but I'm trying to at least make real posts instead of using those counting threads.

I've been a long time EVGA customer but never knew about Elite status before. All my previous purchases are too old to qualify for Elite status.

Another thing is the criteria, 100 post counts or if you bought something in the last 12 months, with the dirth of cards out there, it’s an unreasonable expectation.
And secondly, I’ve been buying evga for over 15 years, I have products registered from back then, thousands of dollars worth, and still have to go through this. Poor on evga for loyalty.

I think the 100 posts is a good starting point for giving people Elite access, but there probably should be a tier list of things you can unlock with more community participation.

I never registered my GTX 970 so I do appreciate there is a few ways to get elite other than product purchases but I agree the amount of spam is insane and not nearly enough mods to deal with it all.

I'm in the same boat, dozens of EVGA cards that aren't the "qualified" list over the years, thus here I am trying to get 100 quality posts just so I can have a small shot at getting an upgrade for my 680ti.

I come from the other perspective. I'm trying to build my first PC (during a global GPU shortage,..ugh). I am trying not to buy the other parts (yet) because I want to avoid the frustration of not having a functional PC but rather a stack of EVGA parts. The 100 post count can be abused for sure, but it is great for someone like me to at least have a chance at landing a GPU,...though very slim.

Same! Other parts are also hard to come by. Especially psu's because they recommend 850w for 3080 cards. And those are pretty hard to come by, especially SFX(l) psu's

There's just nonstop people posting spam in threads with nothing to actually contribute for the past few days because of the new card drop. It's great deleting those subscription emails that just have an emote in them.
