I watched a full playthrough of the game on Twitch.tv yesterday. The end is a bit dumb, but whatever.

A patch was released today.

Update 1.1.5 Patch Notes

Hello Ghosts,

At 8:30pm UTC 10th March, we’re going to apply a patch 1.1.5 for the PC version (Uplay & Steam) of Ghost Recon Wildlands.

This intermediary patch, is providing you with some major fixes and improvements regarding compatibility and performances.
Players in game need to reboot the game to apply the patch. Its size is up to 4 GB depending on your client.

You can still keep on playing and wait before applying the patch. An in-game notification will let you know when the patch is available.
Please note that in order to play co-op with friends, you will need to all have the same version of the game.

Please be aware that the patch will automatically download the next time you launch the game, so if you are already in a game session, you will need to reboot it to benefit from the improvements.

If you’re planning on playing tomorrow, we recommend you to preload the patch starting tonight.
Please find below an overview of main changes:
  1. Multi-GPU improved support
We have been working with our partners to improve both SLI and Crossfire support. Various stuttering and graphical corruption issues have now been fixed.
  1. Quad-core CPUs improved support

Several freezes and performance issues have been resolved for players using quad-core CPUs, notably Intel i5 based setups.
  • AMD graphic cards improved performances
  • Enhanced mouse navigation in store menu
  • 4K menu background scaling implemented
  • Several crash sources have been addressed
  • Improved Ansel support and fixed bugs
  • Other bug fixes & improvements.

The development team will continue to address existing issues in the next update that will be available around end of March/early April across all platforms.
Thank you again for your support, Ghosts!

Even with a single GTX 1070 at 1440p and Very High detail, the game runs better with this patch.

Weird, I have a single GTX 1080 SC2 set on Ultra, and the benchmark is around 3 fps lower than before the patch.   I'm using 378.78, too.

I haven't played it much; this is the first Tom Clancy game I've ever played, so I die a lot.  Can't use my DOOM and Fallout 4 "mindset" in this one.  Looks good, though.

My Current PC: Victory Saber
EVGA X99 FTW
Intel Core i7 5820K - 3.30 ghz (stock clock)
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (4x4GB) DDR 2666
EVGA GTX 1080 SC2
EVGA Supernova 750 G2
2 TB WD Black (64 mb cache, 7200 rpm)
Apevia X-Dreamer 4 Black/Red
Windows 10 Home

Excuse the nooby gamer questions but I don't game much. I wanted to give this game a look, and after 9 hours of dl'ing the game, uplay won't start at all. It started fine after client install and went through the dl agonizingly slow but I figured server issues.
Quick rig stats
2500k on z77 platform. 1070, 8gig ram. and a small monitor.
Thanks.

I wasn't "stoked", as you say, but I got the game for "free" with my gpu and have been enjoying the game for about 30 hours now.  Got Watchdogs 2 free with a sdd but only played that stinker for one hour.

The game is not BAD, but it is not GOOD either....allow me to explain:  It is fun, don't get me wrong, but it is HALF BAKED....the game feels unfinished.  It looks pretty dang good, big map no loading screens pretty cool.  The core mechanics are good enough...although the wumpfffh when your bullet hits someone 300 meters away is silly, but there are many half baked silly things listed here:  bullet wumpfffh, stupid chat/banter/jokes, same 'bah-bla-blah' bad guy sound every camp when you drone it, stupid camera movement / loss of control when you tag stuff, dead bodies should be persistant and moveable, camps/bases/areas shouldn't get repopulated so fast, can't change time scale/sun moves way too fast(holy crap i been at this base for 2 days),  .....

I could go on but I won't.  It's like they just gave up and left out the polishing phase.... Head DEV: "Cmon boys this baby gotta ship, pack up we are launching this sucker as is!"

The driving is a bit twitchy but I got used to it with my game pad ( I switch between pad-vehicles and keyboard-foot )
Flying is bizzare...I have gotten used to the choppers, I don't like it just used to it, but the planes are down right goofy-

Anyhooo....it is still a fun game and I'm enjoying it!  But dannnnggg....I wish they would have finished it, or at least let the community finish it like Bethesda does with it's games.

TLDR:  Game is half baked, not finished, but still fun anyway.

Try launching the game with the game shortcut, uplay will do uplay junk in the background and when you close the game the uplay window will be there...in other words you don't have to launch uplay then launch game from uplay...might work give it a go
