As this title describes, I want to know which wires are the red, yellow, and black wires. Now I have the EVGA 850 G2 power supply, and I had some extra SATA cables laying around from the box. I now have a Lenovo PC that I'm trying to fix, and its HDD cable is broken. My plan was to cut the wires from my SATA cable and splice them to the good end that connects to the Lenovo Motherboard. BUT, the EVGA SATA cable that I have is NOT color coded, and is just straight black. I would love to know which wires are which. I see the arrow on the cap, but nothing else that would indicate which are which. Thank you in advance, have a great holiday! :)

In addition to the above, Pinouts is your source for industry-standard, and non-standard (Dell, HP, etc.), component-end pinout diagrams..The PSU-end pinout can vary because there is no industry-standard on that end..EVGA units use an industry-standard component-end pinout as specified by Intel..Using cables from another/different PSU can have disasterous results.

You can buy an el cheapo DVOM for around $15 to check voltages..An 850W G2 comes with a 'PSU Tester' that fits on the 24-pin connector to turn it on for testing.
