BF1 well because I like getting blown to smithereens by tanks and planes an such.
And that's the only one I play come to think of it. Why do I even have all those steam
games. May have to try Doom and the newest metro they've sitting on there for awhile now.

World of Tanks... has been my "go to" game for years as I wait for other titles to pop up. Kerbal Space Program has seen literally thousands of hours, completely modded out.

There wasn't any out of this world experience from games in 2017, however Mass Effect Andromeda and Dishonored 2(end of 2016) were very enjoyable.

Just recently grabbed Assassin's Creed Origins even though it's a 2017 release and I am enjoying it, probably the best visual game I've played(aside from Witcher 3).

While a few years old I would have to say Witcher 3 is my favorite game that I would say is "current" The game and the expansions are very good and worth playing. I am right now playing Destiny 2 and Call of Duty WWII and like them but Witcher 3 really stands out as one of those games that I feel I will talk about how great it is ten years from now like Portal or Half Life games.
I would agree, Witcher 3 has my stamp of approval for the best game of the decade. Don't think out of all the protagonists in games I played I'll ever forget the name Geralt of Rivia.

Yeah, Assassin's Creed Origins is exceptional....... storywise & graphics. Gameplay is improved from predecessors also .

As a joke we started to play Diablo 2 with small group. Too bad it isn't joke anymore, because it have taken 14hours per day in this  Absolutely game of the year. I haven't had this much fun in games in many years. Any love for Stygian Dolls here?

pubg is my top so far finished out 17 with it got into the game late, escape from tarkov is cool just needs some tweaks

kingdom come deliverance, freedom to do anything and kill anyone (and it's way easier than most people make it seem, I suck at the combat and still can kill groups of enemies solo)

Far Cry 4 is my current favorite, followed by Far Cry 3 and Crysis 3. Can't wait to get Far Cry 5! I'm also going to get Call of Duty WWII ... I liked the older Call of Duty series but not the more recent bunch.

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock is my current.
I've always wanted to command fleets of capital ships against another enemy fleet. Launching viper fighter squadrons to attack other squadrons and other ships. Watching a Battlestar's heavy artillery tear up a lesser capital ship in a few volleys is just amazing. As well as watching the point defense turrets' flack barrier stop incoming missiles, torpedoes and nukes... Then watching it all in the "hand held war cam" replay footage really makes it feel like the show.

FC5 confirmed as a great play. Ubisoft could have done more but overall 8/10. SC2 still going strong.
