I think that everyone uses "OC BIOS".  I don't know why the other even exists, other than a backup to fall back on in case you flash the other one incorrectly.  They could as easily both be "OC BIOS" and they couldn't go wrong.  No one likes the fans turning off and on and clicking anyway.

I use the normal bios but either is fine its just matter of preference. I have set my fans to start after 60c with very smooth and low ramp up so far my max temp is 70c at a very hot room with fans around 60% (inaudible humming mostly from case fans).
Its all a matter of what you fancy really.

I use the normal myself since I haven't noticed enough real world performance difference to really care that much about overclocking aggressively. For me I am ok with stability over trying to max out every bit of performance and I don't mind the fans ramping up. That doesn't mean I don't use X1 though to overclock though.

I use standard Bios and use MSI Afterburner for fan curves. No problems yet.
How ever I just updated to the latest P1 and it updated something. So did they change something with the new release that requires and bios update on the card?

If you have an exhaust fan in the back of your case - turn it higher to get rit of hot air from the card. Turns my temps down from 72-74 Degrees on full load to 66-max 70 Degrees
