For those who are wondering where the cards go, and why the queue is slow, the answer is likely a miner near you. Redditor has many EVGA 3080 and claims that he deals direct with EVGA. Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/...p&utm_source=shareLittle wonder why the queue doesn't move.

1) The narrative you are starting is untrue. 2) It's not your place to judge how other people use their cards. They can buy them, they can sell them, they can game with them, they can mine with them, they can store them in the closet, they can do whatever they want, and it's not of your business. Just another toxic nonsense thread.

1. I am not starting any narrative. 2. At no point did I pass judgement on "how other people should use their cards". Fact of the matter is, the reddit post demonstrates that the miner is able to procure large quantities of 3080 despite there being little to no movement in the notif system. Move along if you have nothing to contribute besides a "toxic" reply.

thorandir 1. I am not starting any narrative.
Your narrative is that this user got the card as a result of EVGA's queue, but really, according to that reddit post, he got the card as a result of camping microcenter. The cards in the queue are not the same cards at retail. You: "For those who are wondering where the cards go, and why the queue is slow, the answer is likely a miner near you." You: "Redditor has many EVGA 3080 and claims that he deals direct with EVGA." Really? This is what he actually claimed: "I lived at microcenter for months". Thus, false narrative. 2. At no point did I pass judgement on "how other people should use their cards".
In the same post, you pass more judgement on "the miner". Funny. Not passing judgement, but we are blaming "the miner". No judegement.

Ya your a miner .And yes I know you have the right to buy up every card and yes you have the right to do as you wish with all your cards.Narrative was true though miners are buying up all the gpus directly through the sellers at above MSRP.The proof is the fact that the queue does not move but on Utube and such the Miners seem to have no problem getting cards. Thanks anyway for killing the planet and me not being able to get a single GPU.

I mine with hardware I purchased years ago. Does that upset you? And yes I know you have the right to buy up every card and yes you have the right to do as you wish with all your cards.
I have bought zero. Narrative was true though miners are buying up all the gpus directly through the sellers at above MSRP.
That's not what he said, is it? He claimed that this miner is buying cards directly from EVGA, using some sort of secret agreement, and that is why the queue is moving slow. Truth is, he bought them at Microcenter... the same place you can buy them, if you camp out at the store every day, like he did.

MC Limits buyers to 1 GPU per month (ask me how I know). So, unless he is gaming the system somehow, he did not get the gpus from MC.

The person in your OP goes by "Waynedamaster" - Says they got them from Micro Center in the link you provided (excerpt quote below) "I stood in microcenter lines for about 2 months as much as physicals possible and had runners switch places with me. I also hired people to stand in line and buy the cards. It was a lot of har work and countless hours of wasted time. But it was worth it." they certainly didn't went to the EU queue that's for sure. Money, EVGA only cares about money like the rest or they would go for their own queue first.

yes, lots of people just want 1 gpu but can't camp websites all day. nvidia would do good to segregate the markets but it's pretty hard to block generic mining on their cards (maybe if they applied all that AI they have?).. In the short term, pray for ethereum asics or the coin to crash.

I agree. I had one of my threads deleted because I called out an online persona for their sketchy workmanship and overcharging me for something I custom-ordered. If my thread could be deleted for singling someone out (even though it was a valuable warning), this thread should definitely be considered for culling.

Well we are calling most everything for sale as being inflated to take advantage of a dire time with Covid being blamed for everything not tagged mining. Can't buy lumber or computer parts IF they are in stock, because no one can get supplies because of this garbage. It affects almost everything in our lives, so sad to see it being taken advantage of, but that is just my opinion. So someone shoving what they did in our face is kind of asking for it. I could be wrong.
