Wondering this myself, I might have to go to an ASUS board if they dont put out the classified soon. Im not to fond of the board aesthetics. But at least its not RGB everything. I Do really want to upgrade from my z97/4790k. But kinda wonder if i should just wait to see also if its true or not that there will be a z390 mbo and a 8800k/8900k 8core enthusiast processor.

8 cores no sense for Z chipset.
But maybe Intel want to catch Ryzen 7 completely.
Anyway EVGA Z370 Micro look great.

I will recomment that board for all gamers who want to save money and build platform with i5-8400K
Without HT he will OC better and kill performance of i7-7700K. Now even i5 is in line with i7-5820K/6850K etc.
People notice long time ago some games work better with HT Link disabled,
I never turn him off but i5-8400K no HT and maybe that is not so big flaw for pure gaming RIG.

"Soon" by EVGA is usually a few months now.
Look at the x299 lineup, (correct me if I'm wrong) only at october we were able to see the launch of the x299 FTW K.
IMO, these mobos will take sometime to show up, with maybe the z370 Micro showing up before 2018 (who knows..).

    Look at the x299 lineup

The release of X299 was planned for october/november previously, Z370 was planned later aswell.
Since Cannonlake will be delayed again, they rushed the Z300 release ... told me a HP consultant in a meeting last week.
For large companies like Asus it's not a big issue since they have enough ressources available, EVGA is another story - the main part of EVGA are GPUs, the releases of their gpus are in sync with other companies. ...

Just kinda sad, i love EVGA. But the looks of the new boards are just kinda like a fast minimalist/design that is taking way longer then any other company. I kinda miss how aggressive they where in the x58-z97, hence why i went z97 back in 2013. But ever since its just gone way down hill, Now i like how they are not going the way of RGB everything. BUT its just like they arnt even trying with design anymore. Oh well, guess i'll be picking up a asus maximus code, when it comes out. That mobo is just mucho smexy.

Re: When will evga release their z370 boards? 2017/11/02 09:37:11 (permalink)
ROG boards are beautifull but there is a people who don't want to pay 300-400$ for motherboard.
I paid 420-430 euro for Rampage V Extreme because I suspect that maybe that board will serve me up to 2020.
And platform have potential. If I upgrade now on i7-6900K, I have chance for 450euro X99 could serve me up to 2020.
If I decide to wait more, next year I will be able to buy i7-6950X for similar price.

But paing so much for chipset Z370 and Intel say Z390 with 8 cores in 2018, late Spring probably it's completely different things.
Maximus IX Extreme cost 500$, I didn't even notice how fast they change from Z170 to Z270 to Z370. And you pain 500$ for motherboard and can't install 6 core i7-8700K and OC him in one year old 500$ worth motherboard.

And ASUS too much ask for motherboards. Now people who loved Extreme series could invest only in Apex.
Features are maybe similar but that's not same class, they don't even install electrostatic protector and he improve visualy whole PC when you look from back side and easier to connect USB and other tools. This RVE is probably my last Extreme motherboard, because I can't afford RVIE.
I could afford If I change platform every 5 years, but they are outdated after 1 or 3 depend what you choose.

Z370 Micro is clear, black nice small motherboard... and you can't say I don't like this detail or that...
Simple motherboard with options for SLI or GPU + Sound Card and M.2.
It's bad because new Intel with 8 cores will not be compatible with Z370.
I liked so much Intel Xtreme generation, special now i7-7820X 8 core for 500$ but what they done...
cut PCI-E lanes and choose thermal paste instead Epoxy.
Now I will write on all my avatars of Intel Haswell-E not Intel Inside, Epoxy Inside for all to remember when CPU was not capable to open like bisquit and replace one paste with little better paste. That's downgrade innovation, CPU should not be made like that never.

After weeks of being too late on availability notifications, I just got my i7-8700K order confirmed on the Egg site and now I need a mobo. I was about to pull the trigger on Asus when I thought to check the EVGA site. I’m willing to wait til next week for an EVGA mobo. Any guidance on suggested pricing on the three models?

Judging for the price range on the z270 family, I would say somewhere around Us$200,00 ~ Us$320,00.

Micro ATX and Stinger ITX are Pretty Good.
Rather I think both are ideal for everyday use (not Gaming) .
    However,
    If I Do SLI.
I'll choose X299 Dark, When no chipset fan at all 3xx series.

How much will cost EVGA Z370 Micro? I'm curious, because these new i7-8700K will be available for 300-350 euro in my region.
Maybe even 250 euro with limited warranty 30-60 days. I can bet I would hit some model stable 5.0GHz on default voltage.

I suppose EVGA Z370 will look extremely nice in something like this...
    Color scheme fit.
    Caselabs BH4 mATX 200$.
In Europe 250 euro probably, now Caselabs is available in East Europe, Romania I think.

Bigger board I'm more for E-ATX and for X chipset.
    Not bad idea at all.

BH4 could be full black, even better for me.
Here is video with EVGA Micro.

Hahahaaaa... He will call me in my dreams.
What you say guys, I always give you nice idea for new build.
Better say goodbye to ATX if you don't want X299 and change for something cool.

It's less than 240$ will all improvements.
He is fantastic BH4. Completely different thing than my standard PC case.

    OMG Vlada
That's exactly what I need for my Lan Box project after my 8700k build.
Old x79 system, with mATX board will go in something like that.

I have an i7-8700K in-hand and no mobo for it. Come on EVGA, let’s do this!

Did you prepared and memory, how much? 16GB Dual Channel is enough.
Now only to Samsung launch new 980 Series M.2. But I will not buy new series.
In that moment price of 960 EVO 1TB will be same as now 960 PRO 512GB and their difference in speed is very little.
Special 1TB vs 512GB and difference in size is significant.

Yea, there was a time when I'd get 32GB of RAM because "why not?" The prices are so ridiculous now, I can't justify more than 16GB. Here are the specs of the system I'm building:

    - EVGA Z370 Classified K (hopefully!)
    - Intel i7-8700K
    - EVGA CLC 240 CPU Cooler
    - G.Skill RipJaws V 16GB (8x2) 3200 14-14-14-34 RAM
    - Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GB SSD
    - EVGA SuperNOVA G3 850W Power Supply
    - Fractal Design Define C Case
    - 4x EVGA FX12 fans
    - Zowie XL2540 (240Hz) monitor
    - Corsair K70 keyboard w/ Cherry MX Speed switches (1.2mm actuation)
    - Zowie EC2-B mouse (preordered; shipping next Monday)

Still need a week or two to finish saving up for the graphics card. Almost there :-)

I sold most of my old computer parts and I'm literally on a Raspberry Pi right now lol. In terms of gaming, I can emulate SNES on here -- that's about it lol.

I prefer EVGA but tired of waiting for them to finally release a motherboard. I looked at the Asus z370 Strix E and F ROG boards. Feature packed, look great and reasonably priced but I ultimately chose the Maximus X Hero, board is currently testing on the bench but so far so good. I am also building a gaming rig for the son of a doctor I work with and used a Strix z370-I mITX board, 8700k, 16gb Trident Z RGB and a 1080 Ti......that thing is a little beast. I almost went that route myself but I lack the tube bending skills needed to build in an ITX case.

    That will be fast computer.
    I made mistake when I didn't bought GSkill 3000 for 220 euro.
Now my kit is 10-20$ less than I paid before almost 3 years only 6 months after DDR4 show up.
Last time when I looked 3200MHz 4x8GB was 250 euro GSkill, now is more than 400 euro.
No one could predict. But I didn't bought because I was not sure how much will pass before I really need more than 16GB.
I think manufacturers of memory sold a lot of kits to people who don't need so much memory.
People never had so much memory over their need as now with 32GB for gaming only and daily work.

Samsung could think little about us and drop price of 1TB. Don't need to ask double exactly of 512GB.
Now price is almost same 2x512GB or 1TB. Shouldn't be like that...
    This is performance comparison.

    Samsung M.2 SSD
    512GB PRO - 1TB EVO

    3500 - 3200
    2100 - 1800
    330.000 - 360.000 IOPS
    14.000 - 14.000 IOPS
    330.000 - 380.000 IOPS
    50.000 - 50.000 IOPS

I'm at the same boat as you.
But, I think I'm going to hit the wallet at the Asus Z370-G.

All the other parts are waiting here as well.
    - I7 8700K;
    - EVGA CLC 280mm;
    - 16Gb Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000Mhz (there's no need for more IMO);
    - Samsung 960 Evo 1Tb (will buy another one for RAID0 purpose when money is not an issue);
    - EVGA Supernova 750W G3;

    Case: Asus Z370-G Box / MB: Asus Z370-G / CPU: Intel I7 8700K / Mem.: 16GB (2x8) 3000Mhz Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 / GPU: GTX 1080TI FTW3 / A.I.O. W.C: EVGA CLC280 / PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G3 750W

I purchased this RAM a week and a half ago for $165. The same thing is $245 right now. I think they must have had it mis-priced or something. I honestly think there has to be a scandal happening with the way RAM is going up all the time. And with crypto-mining being popular on PCs again, that isn't helping at all. Plus Nvidia is not getting any competition from AMD because they are building graphics cards for crypto-miners instead of gamers which is pushing PC prices up.

I'm hoping Intel will get Optane performing at its full potential soon and bring some strong competition to Samsung. At least with SSDs, speeds are increasing like crazy. With RAM it's the same-old stuff at twice the cost haha.

I've got a "soft" deadline of Friday in mind. If EVGA can't release by then I will need to look around a bit. (I believe in you EVGA! Let's release the boards today!)

Any update on when these will be released?  Unfortunately I need a motherboard within a week (my old rig just died) and I'd love to stick with eVGA.
