1. Half life 3 - Jokes aside, assuming this game ever happens I will have to work hard not to let my hype carry my expectations away
2. Cyberpunk 2077 - it's close enough to be hyped and will look really good once I can finally get a 3080.
3. Breath of the Wild 2 (whatever it gets called) - looks great and hope they take a darker twist on the series
4. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2 - I've been a huge fan of the series and hope they can create a true sequel
5. Star Citizen - 95% chance it turns out to be a flaming pile, but on the off chance they really manage to pull it together I'll be excited to dust off my 2014 pre-order and explore the verse

Yeah, I bought into the hype a while back but will continue to ignore it until they eventually (if ever) release their single player campaign. There was way too much drama on display for me to stick around.

Battletech was such a disappointment; just reinstalled and realize why I loath it so much. Nothing like wave after wave of enemies to make up for their horrible AI Recent Mechwarrior Mercenaries was equally tragic... the online game was great years ago, but that's since gone down the toilet as well.

Recent Mechwarrior Mercenaries was equally tragic... the online game was great years ago, but that's since gone down the toilet as well.
Agreed on both fronts. The escort missions in Battletech are infuriating. The escort-ee runs mindlessly, at full throttle, toward the objective. My lance, meanwhile, is so far behind that enemies often have a full turn to open fire. As for MW5, who thought it was a good idea to have enemies spawn out of nowhere? I don't mean a 'mech or tank exiting a building. I mean *poof* new enemies appearing out of thin air.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw's been scratching my space combat itch. It's pretty much a modern reinterpretation of Privateer's gameplay.

Yeah me too. I think I paid 30 bucks way back in the original crowd funding. Dont even follow it anymore, one day I just hope to play Squadron 42 and relive my Wing Commander days

If you aren't into RPGs you probably wouldnt care much but if you are, then not playing the original Baldur's Gates, especially 2, would be like being a cinephile who never saw the Lord of the Rings movies. Baldur's Gate is the game that made Bioware famous. III is being done by Larien [Divinity games] which makes me nervous. I like the Original Sin RPGs but they have seriously deep faults, and I hope they don't bring them into BG3

I was just reading there is a Half Life Alyx mod that lets you play the game without a VR. Not a real Half Life 3, but anything might be better than nothing right now. This is the first that I've heard of sniper ghost warrior. Is it part of the Ghost Recon series? I assume it's good?

Yeah they were bugfests for a long time. I played them with mods etc. Beautiful gems that were in desperate need of polishing early on.

I was very excited about Legion, but then I read, your characters can die right? Like the game has some built in ironmade mode you can't undo? lol I can't handle that, I can't stand losing my people in a video game. I always reload in games like X-Com when a team member goes permanent dead.

As a fan of the old Wing Commander games, the concept of Star Citizen intrigued me, but the development hell it seems to be in turned me off.
Yeah, I bought into the hype a while back but will continue to ignore it until they eventually (if ever) release their single player campaign. There was way too much drama on display for me to stick around.
Rebel Galaxy Outlaw's been scratching my space combat itch. It's pretty much a modern reinterpretation of Privateer's gameplay.
This game is right up my alley.
