I completely agree!

Top 5 Must-Plays :

• Cyberpunk 2077
• Starfield (whatever it is...lol)
• Baldur's Gate III (I don't mind the change in format)
• Elite Dangerous: Odyssey (space legs + spAce Combat + FD's disjointed game design = big beautiful mess)
• The Elder Scrolls VI (Ray-tracing may be practical by the time this hits alpha...maybe)

 
There are also a metric ton of indie games that slip in and out of my radar scope. Honestly, I would like to explore new horizons rather than the high-budget/low-creativity sequel checklist that we have at the moment. I'm still working my way through a massive backlog on two different platforms, so there really is a lot of fun to be had.

As a fan of the old Wing Commander games, the concept of Star Citizen intrigued me, but the development hell it seems to be in turned me off.

Yeah me too.  I think I paid 30 bucks way back in the original crowd funding.  Dont even follow it anymore, one day I just hope to play Squadron 42 and relive my Wing Commander days

You mentioned the "naughty"... I remember the first video he released about his idea for Star Citizen (I don't say his name). I had been following it for years, watching/reading progress, and then I slowly started to catch on to the neo-ponzi scam he was running and all of the marketing flash/glamour. As I continued to watch over the years I became more and more disgusted by his antics, BS, and the complete lack of progress. Thank goodness I never invested money in that dumpster fire. Regardless of what happens with it from this point forward, I'll NEVER sink a penny into that game. Even if it became free I'd probably still decline to install it our of principle.

For Cyberpunk 2077 to be released before 2077.
For Star Citizen to remember that games are supposed to be entertaining and fun to play.

I've been waiting for Stalker 2 for some time and now am concerned it won't meet expectations.

Not any news just with how good the previous ones were there is an expectation of improvement other than graphics and that is the developers real challenge

Starfield (well as much as you can want a game you know next to nothing about, but Elder scrolls in space sounds interesting, assuming that's what it is.)
TES VI (I do wonder how close it'll be to starfield, as they are using much of the same tech, if the connection is like between elder scrolls and fallout, I could draw a number of ideas based on whatever starfield gives, and vice versa about starfield from older elder scrolls games.)

Yeah I'm dying to hear more in depth details about Starfield, plot, gameplay etc

A friend recently had my download Bauder's gate 2 so I guess 3?

My top 5 that I would love to play just after they are released but first for sure I will have to upgrade my legacy PC to be able to fully enjoy those titles:
 
- Cyberpunk 2077
- GTA 6
- Baldur's Gate 3
- The Elder Scrolls VI
- Elex 2

Cyberpunk has my attention.
However, The one that has me looking at my old system, now 5 or 6 years old, is MS Flight Sim 2020..  
Theoretically I can run it, but we are not much over minimum now.
