I did indeed look up for UK customs and if correctly identifying the code for a graphics card (not easy) as 8471697000
It appears that only IMPORT VAT of 20% will be charged and no duty
however, I still haven't got a definitive answer from EVGA EU if they will not charge VAT for UK deliveries which should be the case.
If they do then we will pay over 40% as customs will not refund the VAT wrongly charged.

My queue position is yet to come up so I have not gained first hand from EVGA, but I have ordered from Germany and nothing more was charged.
I had also forgot to mention shipping lol but then that's not related to import fees ;)

also changed today to KR 10G-P5-3897-KR 9/19/2020 2:28:19 PM PT if it works it's great, if not well someone else will be glad to get LHR faster

Alright, fine, I switched as well. Let's see how it goes, nothing to lose really as I was aiming for a 3070 Ti. Would also be happy with a 3080 at that point I guess  10G-P5-3897-KR 6/10/2021 11:34:23 AM PT

Congrats! Since yours was so early, it was probably in the top few for the KR model after you switched. For future reference, once you get it and you too should have a fan startup noise that is rather unappealing, mine now idles at ~800 rpm, better than the fan noise :)
edit: also, 4000rpm fans are a proper jet engine

Knowing it's shipped from Taiwan didn't make a difference as I tried to find out specifically what the situation was with UK and import duties. I may have missed it but no one told me that these were sent DDP so I needed to know if there would be import duties

I had those docs ready but, in the end, no one asked for them! After the first hiccup in Taiwan (they needed my fiscal data), everything went smoothly. 5 days from Taiwan to Italy + perfect packaging (I'm obsessive about this). Now I only need to buy the remaining components, since my current PC is from 2007... I really appreciate your help and your original post. Without it, I wouldn't be here with my 3070 KR. Seriously, thank you so much!

I had a dent in my outer box, about 1cm long and not deep, luckily the product packaging was perfect :D And you're welcome :) Have fun putting a new system together, luckily for you, EU seems to have good supply of CPUs, especially AMD ones, which were/are(not sure about now) in very short supply in NA for many months while we could buy them retail at MSRP :D

May I suggest a change in topic's title? I totally skipped this thread because of the reference to 3080 and thought this was 3080 only related. If it was not for our friendly neighborhood amphibian Enewt, I would have never discovered this is the place to look at for EU notification… ^^;

Yup, I'm aware.. It's more than likely that the KR variants of the 3060s and 3070s will end up dead sooner or later (or maybe they are already), but then again it's not that KL queues are moving either so..

Ye it sucks... I remember around May they advanced 40 minutes and I was only 3 hours far and full of hope.
