Hi,

if the data is correct, there is a huge difference!

Xeroeth's time stamp was 9/17/2020 7:25:56 AM PT
Ksonik reported 9/17/2020 7:22:53 PM PT YES

That would be 12hrs.... perhaps Ksonik could clarify, if it was really PM (Pacific Time) and not AM (Pacific Time) when he/she entered the queue...

I'd assume it's a typo. Past post in other topics from Ksonic have

Seeing what people sometimes add to the Notify Spreadsheet.  Like the guy signing up over a year ago.
Well let's hope production starts to ramp up at some point.

It's normal with self-reports, as long as we move foward these small bumps will be resolved.
Will correct your typo once I get access to my "notes".

Good Evening, here is the daily status for the EU queues
As usual, recent moves are marked in bold.

The bad news is that we are still in "single file", so only the 3080 FTW3 Ultra moved today.
The good news is that we moving minutes instead of seconds.

Unfortunately, we can't prove mathematically what the fulfilment rate is for for the EU queue(s) - but it really does feel that the amount of cards which are getting channeled to the EU queues is substantially less than our NA cousins. All things being equal (population of EU verses NA) and the relative percentage of the population that want cards and sign up to the spreadsheets, we should be roughly (roughly mind you!) moving the same as the NA queue, and be approximately the same dates.

Seems like the movements aren't even remotely in sync. I don't say that to be negative, only that while the queue does (now) seem to be moving for all cards.....it's a long way to move. The most obvious reason for this is that the cards being channeled hasn't mapped to the same distribution as the NA queues. Either the frequency of drops isn't the same, or the amount of cards in each drop isn't as large. Be interesting to see if all the queues move this week, like they did last week.

I live in hope that some kind hearted forklift driver in a depot somewhere in Thailand will drop a pallet on our conveyor belt :-)

Respect again to BovineGamer for doing the legwork here. Appreciated mate.

I wouldn't be surprised of just a small amount of cards are actually allocated to the EU market maybe 5-10%. Splitting this between direct customers and retailers with standing orders... I remember people writing they actually picked up small quantities cards in local NA stores without any kind of preorder during late November.
I expect the drop rates for EU to rise once the NA queues are mostly or completely cleared or Nvidia ramping up the production during Q2/Q3.

Re: What's going on with EU and 3080's? 2021/01/21 05:48:02 (permalink)
Yeah, I'd say your right there. It's a small percentage for sure. The reason I think that way, is that they essentially created this "additional channel" for the queue after the main public announcement of the cards. They (EVGA) try their best to fulfil their commitments to all the retailers (Amazon, overclockers in the UK, scan, etc) so then having to channel a few cards to the originally non-existent queue is hard as it takes away from the contractual obligations. And to be fair, I think they've done a pretty good job in an awkward situation which they didn't create to begin with. If EVGA had their way, they'd be shipping crates on crates of cards.

Still that same problem of how many cards to divert into the "queue channel" exists in the NA market too, so it's curious to me as to why the EU queues don't move like the NA ones. I guess it's something that we'll never know on this side of the curtain, but for sure it's not the same anyway.

I do agree though - probably within a month we will see a massive uptake in the queues, for a lot of reasons. Production increase coming on board, lots of customers having got their cards aren't F5'ing Amazon anymore, scalpers will become less scare.......situation should massively improve.

With the current crypto minning craze ... I doubt.
I have signed for all 3080s from Evga Eu on 7th of October. Not any single notification. That nearly 5 months.

Trying to calculate how fast the queues are moving is a really bad idea, you can look at the US queue for a recent example of someone that had a "2 month" prediction from enewt and ended up waiting 4 month, or the poor fellow who was stuck for a month 1 second away from the bubble.

The flow of stock has been irregular at best on both sides (look at the people asking for the Hybrids), although it seems to be improving if the latest days are taken as an example. Last week showed some very encouraging signs that the EU queues are more organized, while not ideal, I would gladly trade a single SKU drop day for no movement at all, let us hope it continues that way. Moves are better no moves.

There are also other factors, I think the EU fullfillments did not begin at the same time as the US queues, at least I am yet to pickup any information about emails being sent in September.

As for the rest, yes, at the moment we are seeing are a repeat of the US queues behaviour, with the more expensive cards being given a priority and newer SKUs having an almost Day One fullfillment. The one good thing we are not having at present is daily moves being in seconds, so while the queues are moving in single file each day they are covering more ground when compared to the US in the same timeframe.

Good Evening, here is the daily status for the EU queues.
Turns out this Thursday was a Strangler Day, so no bolded lines.
Let's hope for some moves on Friday to end the week in good spirits.

Nothing I could track so far and I too am queued on that SKU.

The US queue for that SKU has been stuck for some time as well, it's possible that the few units produced are being diverted to the retail channels and not reaching the queue channels.

Are you trolling people? LOL
Might I suggest disabling email notification on whatever device that is distracting you? Asking people not to post comments in a forum because it doesn't suit you seems.......misguided.

What if the person posting the comment at night works odd hours such as a night shift, and sleeps during the day....for example.

+1 on that.
There are like 10 different ways to solve this. Setting your phone to "Do not disturb" between (say) 1am and 8am would be another solution. Asking people not to use forums between certain hours when they might not live in the same timezone as you....is unreasonable, and unrealistic.

I have been checking stock today for major EU sellers and the UK. Stock is literally zero right now.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I heard that in order to help alleviate the GPU shortages, Nvidia are re-introducing the 2060 and the 2060Super (at least temporarily). These are older cards and not based on the 8nm process, so should in theory help put GPU's into the hands of gamers looking to build lower end systems.
Doesn't really help me as I'm looking for a 3090, but hey, good to see that someone in Nvidia is thinking outside of the box.
