I stopped gaming a few months back and sold everything except my 780Ti KingPin. It doesn't look like I will be building another rig, so I'm looking to sell my 780Ti KP Edition. Purchased new from Newegg last May. 

Yeah, I saw that one. Trying to avoid selling on eBay because of their very high fees. I'm trying to post it in the classifieds here but the sticky doesn't work, so I can't read what the requirements are.

I don't know how much is good to sell that card now... She is between 980 reference and 980 SC but worth much less. If you want 980 difference you will not see, maybe you will have less lag in few games with higher video memory usage, but that's it, bandwidth is slower 256bit... It's not possible to customer recognize improvements between overclocked 780Ti and some 980 or if you want 980Ti...again
comparing Maxwell and Pascal situation look mi similar as Haswell and Skylake.  Not only because DX12, new technology should arrive I expect about 70-80% stronger than 980Ti. For me is Matrix Gold interesting but I didn't expect so fast card now and few months before Pascal. 
Time for selling 780Ti was few months before 980Ti is launched...Than we could sell for almost 500$ and upgrade would be much easier and we had lot of time before Pascal, now most of people will rather to buy GTX970 than GTX780Ti.
In one moment price of GTX980 reach 700-750 euro in Europe... that was best time for selling cards.
I don't know how someone could give now even 300 euro when XFX R9-390X 8GB cost 420 euro new.
Time for selling 780Ti for normal price is missed long time ago.
I will burn mine, not sell. That would be more satisfaction for me than money. 
In period when I plan to sell mine card because upgrade I wait to become completely
unstable and technical support to replicate problem 100%, not to back me fault card as some people experienced. 

Simply not worth to sell that card now.
Because there are other options and she is better for gaming than for selling because it's not good for future.
GTX980 is 10% stronger card than reference GTX780Ti. 
GTX780Ti KP give about 2000-2500 higher score than reference GTX780Ti...
Than you can easy to compare your results and results of cards on market but not worth to sell, special for GTX980.
Difference between 980 and GTX780Ti is not even half how much is stronger 980Ti than GTX980. 
For them you can say they are not even close... Because when GTX980 show up she give same results in some 3DMark tests even with reference 780Ti, Unigine Heaven and other things. Than NVIDIA with next drivers improve only performance of GTX980 and people with GTX780Ti, not only 780Ti, people with GK110 leave with poor performance. After launch date results of GTX780Ti Classified was higher in every benchmark tests than 980 Superclocked. Later what NVIDIA done with drivers, that's different things. Always looking new premium cards I think what if I invest in Pascal 950 euro example and NVIDIA after 12 months start to eat ..... and improve drivers only of newer series. When someone pay so much he want at least 3 years improvements as much possible, not calculation and forcing people to buy new cards with drivers and sabotaging performance of older series. No one want to buy cards with 3GB now, even people try to avoid 4GB and choose in many cases R9-390X with 8GB...  When I bought card I planned to sell few weeks (2-3) before big Maxwell. 
That was my first plan. I thought big Maxwell will arrive for 1.5 years and I will sell my and upgrade.
Now if someone want to sell card, overclocked 20% than reference 780Ti with similar performance as GTX980 for 200-250$ that's stupid.
Different thing is when you sell your card and you pay 300$ more and for that money you pay GTX980Ti example, and Maxwell cost you 300$.
That's excellent deal, but that moment pass. For me was enough to sell for 400-450 euro, I could easy save rest, but in time when my card worth so much I couldn't sell because I wait to card cross in condition where technical support 100% could replicate instability, not 90%, 100%. 
Because of that ASUS get 450 euro for R5E and he will get 1000 euro for Pascal.
 
 
 

It doesn't matter how well the GTX 780Ti Kingpin performs or doesn't perform against other cards near the $350 price range. Fact is, people are paying that for the card on eBay, latest purchase at that price was this month. It's a specialized card meant for more than just gaming, that's why it has more value than a vanilla card and that's why they still sell for what they do.

Yeah since the 970GTX FTW(339.00) kills the 780ti in performance, I would say maybe $200 and that's if you find a super dumb person that has no knowledge of the 900 series cards performance.
Your way off if you honestly think a 780ti competes with 980 GTX......not even close!

GTX 970 is a mid-range 900-series card, whilst GTX 780ti is a high-end 700-series card.
 
Because of this (and it's been like this with graphics cards for many years, if not always)
a standard GTX 780ti performs pretty much the same as a standard GTX 970.
 
I learned this the hard way back in 2003, when i replaced a GeForce 4 "Ti 4800 SE" with a GeForce FX "5600 Ultra".
Only to find that my old card was much faster than my new card 
(despite the model number being higher on the new card).
 
Needless to say, the 5600 Ultra went back to the store i got it from.
 
So the GTX 780ti KingPin does indeed outperform a standard GTX 970.
I could understand selling a standard GTX 780ti for 200USD, but not the KingPin.
 
All in all, 300-350 USD is not at all a bad price for a used KingPin GTX 780ti.

I would say less than $100usd? Nowadays it's all related to hashrate.
