I would also buy both.
Its better to sell the second one to someone deserving when the situation is entirely under your control.
You can either profit or not from the sale. Either way you can make sure it goes to someone you determine to be deserving.

I literally just got notice I won a shuffle.. Gigabyte 3060 and an AORUS 165hz 1440p monitor. I feel guilty not purchasing it

I finally won the 3070ti variant.  After shipping and tax and $100 markup on monitor and $100 on gpu it wasn't a good deal at all unless I needed a 1440p monitor.  Let mine go to the next person.

Very odd on those combo deals. Isn't a combo supposed to bring the price down, not up?

You'd think so.  The GPU was $100 more than best buy (which had drops of it today, so price is accurate) and the monitor was about $100 cheaper on amazon.

I would also buy both.

You can either profit or not from the sale. Either way you can make sure it goes to someone you determine to be deserving.


But wouldn't that make you "undeserving" in the first place?  If you become what you hate, how do you define justice?  If you become a scalper, who are you protecting from scalpers?  To really solve problems, simply don't perpetuate the ridiculous demand.  Let someone else buy it.

How is this even a question?  One company has been jacking up their prices on top of AIBs already jacking up prices, has shady policies, and third party vendors up the woohoo.  Another one is the AIB that makes top tier cards, didn't jack their prices up badly like the other AIBs did, and consistently tries to do right by their customers.

From what I've read on these and other forums so def not first hand info (at least on evga queue).
Passing on newegg usually puts that item for sale on the site which gets snapped up by a bot.
Passing on the evga win return the card to the queue.

That's great but you could have gotten a 42 dollar discount or so buying directly from evga.  Maybe more if evga takes paypal and you could have used whatever paypal discount you had for that.

You're an associate, you could have used your benefits you've generated from that, you could have used paypal for evga.
 
Is there a specific reason you'd be charged tax for evga and not newegg?  IIRC they both have physical presence in cali.

To be fair, they are required to pay taxes either way.  The only thing that keeps people from paying taxes is fraud.  If the retailer doesn't collect taxes, the buyer is still required to pay use tax directly to their state.  (in states which have sales tax, duh)

EVGA Bucks from people using my Associate Code are not available to use until after 30 days. So I can't use them right now. That still doesn't explain where you got the $42 discount for me to buy from EVGA.
 
The $15 discount using PayPal is a Newegg deal, does not apply to EVGA.
 
My State does not require tax to be collected by the seller if they have no presence in my State, but for some reason EVGA does it. Newegg, eBay and Amazon do not charge me a tax.
 
Also Newegg's shipping cost are cheaper.
