I have a Z690 Dark Kingpin and EVGA 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming waiting to be installed into my 4u rackmount build. Right now running an 11900k with Z590 Dark, EVGA 1000 G6, EVGA 3050XC, Corsair RGB ram. I've got the CLC 360 cooler mounted vertical to the rack rails, which looks pretty cool and very matrix/cyberpunk, but also keeps the CPU super low temps at load with a custom fan profile on EVGA Flow Control software. Not a big fan of full towers, most of my rigs are in 4U or 2U rack mounts. saves a lot of space, get all network gear and UPS neatly tucked into the rack towers. For the case it's an iStarUSA D-400-6 4U rackmount, but if I were to ever go for a full tower build it would have to be the Cooler Master MasterFrame 700 test bench or the Thermal Take P6/P8 series.

I'm also putting together a new build with the 1000D. I've had to source parts from about eight different places as I'm currently in Germany. Hopefully everything will be here in the next couple of weeks. If you think about going with the 1000D, check the Corsair forums for a bloke named Zotty. His wiring diagrams for fans are scary, and amazing.

I had heard geting the cables to reach was tricky as well.. alot of real estate to have standard cables to have to reach.

I really like be quiet! cases. The Version 2 of the Dark Base Pro 900 is really good. My build uses the old V1, which had some issues with the power supply shroud. There are a few other nice improvements with the v2, but I'm really hoping they release a new big enthusiast case in the next year or two. Super high quality parts and everything is modular/adjustable so it can be configured in a variety of ways. Here's my build with that case. I had a little trouble with fitment/heat for the hybrid GPU plus open-loop for the CPU. I think it would have gone much smoother had I just gone full open loop and gotten a GPU with a water block on it. Next time...but I'm hoping next time there are more cases available. Currently, I have a soft spot for the Corsair 7000D, but what I'd really like is something I can put my 420mm rad in the roof of and another 420mm rad in the front of. I reeeeeeally like the sound of 140mm fans over 120mm fans.

The pictures of that case do not do it justice. It is a beast. I ordered extenders just in case, and will still have to get creative on routing. I thought it would be a fun project to do a full custom loop for the first time when I got the chance to buy the z690 Dark. Now I'm having to mod my desk!

I think the 1000D you can put like 4 420 rads in it if i am remembering right. 2 in the front, one on the top and 1 in the bottom maybe?

Right on! My current eight year old build is also in the Dark Pro 900, with Dark Pro power supply and all Silent Wings fans. They are a fantastic company, and you're spot on about the quality and configurability. When I first got it, I thought it was huge! The 1000D dwarfs it. I think it could actually fit inside.

Actually, the front only supports 120mm fan configs. So you can put two 360 or 480mm rads, but not a 420. You can put a 420 on top though. And yes, it is a monstrosity of a case.

Looks like you can order (if you can find it) a 3x140 tray for the front. The default configuration comes with the 3x140 tray already in the top.

The other thing I'm considering for my next build would be to get a case that just has one intake and one exhaust and enough room for plumbing, then run tubes externally to a MO-RA3 420 Pro. I just built one of these up for work and it is BEA-utiful. I just built it up on a rack and tubed it to a custom cold-block with lots of holes where about 500-750W of LEDs are going to be turned on for burn-in purposes. This radiator is THICK and with 18 140mm Arctic P14 fans it's quiet as can be. Makes me want to go with a small PC case and then just plumb it to that thing sitting externally. The only problem with that is that most of the motherboards have gone away from uATX and either offer ITX (which I don't love) or ATX/E-ATX, which means you need a pretty decent sized case anyway. Short of mounting that radiator to the wall, fitting it on the desk could get tricky lol.

still using Cooler Master HAF X (942). been using it for 12 years. ( Old TechSpot Review Link) But if u want to compliment any case i highly recommend the following: "Sabrent USB 3.2 5-Bay 3.5" SATA Hard Drive Tray-Less Docking Station (DS-SC5B)" Link ^^ ^^ has worked flawlessly for me since i got it October 1, 2021. and they just released a 10 bay version: "SABRENT 10-Bay 3.5” SATA Hard Drive Tray-Less Docking Station (USB 3.2 Type-C and Type-A) (DS-UCTB)" Link ^^ but two 5 bay units might be better- if lots of drives are ever needed... because only the 5 bay version has an extra USB-C port in back. (not for daisy chaining but still nice to have for connecting whatever.) note: the 5 bay version i have ROCKS! in every way... really like how it goes to sleep immediately when PC shuts down... plus when i built current system, i had a quick and easy way to access all my Data drives; by simply hooking it up temporarily to another PC.

Been using a Corsair 900D since 2014.....as no issues with 480 + 360 + 360 Rads. If you simply want a decent large case for fitting max Rads and dont care about cost or size Corsair 1000D.

Think i am going with the 1000D.. seems like the e-atx board will be a bit large for the 0-11 Evo by about 30mm if i was reading the numbers right. I think it will fit but hang over the side and i am not sure how well the connectors will work.

I tried a Lian Li Dynamic Evo, wasn't a good fit, seems like that case is better for AIO/distro plate setups. I ened up going with my Z390 darks old case, a Phanteks Evolv X. Great case lots of storage room, and double sided glass swing out doors is a plus. EVGA Z690 Dark Phanteks Evolv X Build" />

@ideasash How was the cable routing in the Evolv X with the Dark? Looks like it would be tight with the sliders on the side of motherboard with 24 pin. Love that case - good choice!

mrblond now that is a pretty PC i ended up going big and grabbed a 1000D its bigger then it seems online lol
Thanks! I've actually been fighting the urge to get the 1000D. I just got this system finally to a point where I can leave it alone for awhile after 2+ months of mobo issues (Asus z690 Formula, then Extreme - board death, stability issues, RAM issues, etc.). When I scored this classy board, all my problems seemingly vanished. So, it begs the question of whether I want to take a break now or bite the bullet while I have store credit from the boards and get the 1000D + new rads + fans, etc. The $500+ case I don't need becomes a $1000+ project of excess in no-time flat. lol
