My prebuilt should be arriving in July. I'm new to the world of PC building and gaming. What are some programs that I should use to make sure things are running smoothly? I want to make sure that I wasn't sold a malfunctioning or damaged pc.
I would like to get rid of any bloatware, too.

For a prebuilt your first step should be installing a fresh OS! The bloatware on some of those (depending on the brand) can be horrid! After that, these are my go-to programs: - Steam, Discord, & Chrome, for games, chat, and internet.
- MSI afterburner if you plan on adjusting internal settings
- 3D Mark and Cinebench to benchmark the PC
- Voicemeeter banana, audio software since I use like 12 audio sources
- Anydesk, remote connection software. There's probably better stuff out there now, but I haven't bothered to upgrade.
- Any doc creation software. Photoshop, MS Office, and Notepad++ are my go-tos here.
From that point, I start installing everyone from my steam library I want, and that's pretty much everything!

Я бы делал все вручную, основываясь на собственном опыте.
Я имею в виду отключение всех компонентов в разделе приватности. Также отключение межсетевого экрана и встроенного антивируса. Оптимизация драйверов nVidia. Настройка в разделе дополнительного сетевого оборудования. Режим энергопотребления. Отключите все подсказки и прочее, что привязано к Интернету.
По личному опыту скажу, что лучше делать это вручную, если вы понимаете, чем использовать программы, которые это делают. Обычно они не оптимизируют, а портят и устанавливают скрытые программы.
Присоединюсь к почте выше, но забыл k-lite codeck Pack, архиватор, программу для контроля температуры

hopefully the upcoming "winget" command helps out. But anyways, VLC media player, Foxit reader for PDFs, 7zip, and all the gaming launchers (Steam, GOG, Battle.net, etc)

MSI Afterburner = For adjusting/monitoring GPU settings.
OCCT = For testing CPU, GPU, RAM, & Power Supply. This program will also allow you to see all your hardware temps of the cpu, gpu, ram & motherboard.
DDU = To perform clean driver installations for GPU.
Manufacturer testing tool for SSD = For testing your SSD, and seeing SMART details. e.g. Intel SSD Tool Box.

You can get rid of the bloatware by just installing a fresh windows.

Not mentioned yet, but Sumatra PDF is my favorite PDF viewer because it's lightning fast. Acrobat Reader can be so slow. You can even install Sumatra as a portable app if you want to keep it on a flash drive or in the cloud to use wherever you go.

Yeah, that would be really useful. I use Photoshop for that if it's only one page, but that's obviously not free.
