amazon was closest to buy it now.  But yeah, for most sites it's just impossible.

I am old...my fast twitch skills are not what they used to be.  I cannot compete with the bots and the high school kids.  But I refuse to give up trying....

Also have to remember you're still battling a lot of normal people too since there haven't been many drops over this last week and EVGA is the only company that gives some notice when stock is going to be in.

Query: what do you think is better for the common gamer trying to get a card: having the website drop a few cards at a time or a massive drop so that the bots cannot suck them all up at once?  I was thinking the latter, but I actually don't have any idea.  Just curious if that is why we are seeing small drops from time to time on various retailers.

I actually liked what EVGA did, in letting elite members get first dibs on the 3090 cards. Instead of seeing scalpers snatch up those cards, I am seeing a lot of people getting them and posting them here. Feels good man.

I don't disagree. Just wondering from a technical perspective, which would be better (i.e., more likely to result in real gamers getting a card)?
