I have had this problem since Thursday or Friday. It showed up during the course of some Precision X1 reinstalls.
 
Some times my mouse cursor will behave funny and begin to look strange. On the desktop or a webpage, it will show up as a hand instead of my normal pointer icon. The worst is when it turns into what I have come to call crosshair brackets. It makes clicking on things absolute hell. And it is purple for some reason. The left bracket is where the cursor seems to actually be; the right one is just annoying. It is often hand to even see where my mouse cursor is on the desktop.

    Might be the Driver there is a Hotfix out for it.
    GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 431.68 New
    GeForce Hotfix display driver version 431.68 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 431.60 .
    This Hotfix driver addresses the following: Mouse cursor may render incorrectly after exiting a game...
