SteamVR is available for Linux. Cryptocurrency miners are available for Linux. Why isn't Precision Xoc available for Linux?
I was investigating Linux as a mining platform today. It's capable of setting my power limit (underclocking) and setting my GPU fan speed. Unfortunately the nvidia-settings tool in linux does not support more than one fan per card. This means I can only control the GPU fan, not the power fan on my 1080 ti hybrids. This is probably fine for gaming, but for a mining rig it is unacceptable as the cards will run hot. I prefer to keep my cards at 40C. That's why I buy hybrids in the first place. EVGA has to be selling a lot of cards to miners right now. I expect that trend will continue in the future. Surely it makes sense to support them with a bit of software. It doesn't have to be a full blown GUI. We just need a little script to monitor temps and set fan speeds. A full blown GUI would be nice, but many miners run headless setups anyway and something is better than nothing.
Thanks
