I got my PSU on Nov 2016 from Amazon and wanted to register it while it was supposed to still be under warranty just in case.

On the amazon page and order it listed it as 7 years warranty (even in warranty check it says in the name 7 year warranty), yet the warranty check on evga site says 3 years and says it's out of warranty.

Which is correct? is this an error on evga's side ? or is there something else?

I believe you have to register purchases within 30 days of purchase, otherwise warranty is limited to 1 year, but I might be wrong.

The warranty terms say that the part number has a 7 year standard warranty.  It then says that some other power supplies with different part numbers require registration within a certain time period to receive longer warranties.  Since it doesn't say that this specific part number requires registration for longer warranties, and it calls the default warranty a "standard" warranty, I would speculate that the warranty is SUPPOSED to be 7 years by default without any tricky caveats.

I think EVGA's website simply is glitched.  Hopefully an EVGA representative will see your thread and the problem can be resolved.

I do hope it's a glitch, because when I was buying it from amazon, nothing told me I had to specifically register it within a specific time to make it count.

Simply that it had 7 years warranty (in it's title) and I took it as is.

Hoping to get a reply from EVGA here.
