Hello guys,

couldn't really access the German forum. Thus, I ended up here with a question that confuses many German customers. According to German dealers, the warranty for EVGA cars are void if we change the cooler for a waterblock instead. Assuming that there weren't any damages due to mishandling while mounting etc., is this statement true or not? Honestly, this is THE most important argument for me personally to buy EVGA cards. I understand that theres a risk for waterdamage but what if the card just dies on me like my last one did?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Moccor, while I feel a little late to this post, the other guys are correct. You can disassemble the card without voiding the warranty. Just be careful to not damage the card or connectors. You can even install a water block. Keep in mind that the card needs to be returned to us with the original cooler in a factory like condition for any warranty exchanges.

See: Does water-cooling or installing a third party cooling solution on my video card void the warranty?

"Installing third party cooling solutions does not void warranty on our products. Just be sure to keep the original cooling solution as it will have to be on the card if it is ever sent in for RMA. Any physical damage such as burn marks, water residue or damage, or any damage to the PCB will void ALL warranties."

Thanks a bunch, I might have missed the info somewhere but apparently this applies only to US customers? Correct me if I'm wrong. (There was some talking going on in German forums that the regulations within the US are different than German ones) If not, then this answers my question!

    Edit: Thanks bob!

    Hello,

You are free to change the cooler out with a waterblock if you like! It wouldn't make much sense if we sold waterblocks and hybrid kits that void the warranty! :D It's always good to check prior to making any changes though!
