Just starting this thread to see how everyone is doing with win 10 creators edition + gtx 9/10 series cards.
so far for me, it seems gsync is sort of broken. i'm experiencing screen tearing in some games which means gsync is not running.
I thought it was broken only on windowed games, but it seems some games even with full screen are getting tearing. I haven't experienced any screen tearing for the past 3 years since i started using gsync. it was weird.
I went ahead and turned off game DVR in xbox app.
so far:
diablo 3 = screen tearing in full screen and windowed
Ultra street fighter 4 = screen tearing no matter what
Mass effect andromeda = no issues, just some loss of FPS, about 5. not much different.
Overwatch = all good, but losing about 5 fps overall
Dota 2 = screen tearing in all modes
that's about all i play these days.
Monitor is a asus pg278q 1440p @ 144hz gsync monitor.
Tested all of the above with a 980 ti. i'll re-test once i get my 1080ti from step up.
I tested all games above with my backup system. once i plug in the 980 ti in my main system, everything works fine. Main system has not been upgraded to creator edition yet. and i suggest everyone else not to upgrade yet until all the bugs been worked out.

I have not had any screen tear, however I am currently only playing Overwatch. There were issues after upgrading though. I did notice that it disabled my SLI and Overwatch crashed for about 3 games after. At first I thought maybe Windows upgraded my GPU Drivers for me, but that was not the case. It all seems to be fine now though.

I had to reinstall my gfx driver after the Creators update , had major framedrops in games.
Reinstalled drivers and DISASBLED that FREAKING GameDVR again and all is well

When you upgrade to the Creators update, it will install the latest WHQL driver even if you already had it installed prior to updating. Best thing I found to do is reinstall the driver of your choice using the clean install method or DDU. My suggestion for driver choice is either the latest hot fix driver 381.78, or better still, the previous WHQL driver 378.92. I'm using 378.92 and everything is running as good as it was prior to the Creators update.
Side note: I have all the game mode settings off or disabled.

Creators update is awful I went back to AU and blocked the creators update hopefully until they fix it.
I had a lot of issues with a lot of different things.

The only nag I get since upgrading to Creator is that it keeps telling me that I have to sign in to my Microsoft account to synch some settings. I never use my MS account to log in.

never update to a major update quickly, ever, always give it some time first

Creators update was great for a few days.. Then they pushed some quick updates to it and it turned into a train wreck for my system. Couldn't get more than 2-20 minutes of Mass Effect in before a DX11 driver crash saying the gpu was ejected from the system. I rolled back to Anniversary and not 1 issue for 2 days.

Remember to use Win and the G key when in game, go into the settings, and then click the "this is a game, use game mode check box". I noticed that the game ran better as well as my GPU would run at a higher clock rate.

It definitely has caused a few issues .... from Nvidia driver disappearing , to 1st ever blue screen in win 10 for me ,..etc... Still investigating the damage... but I think we all know what it *created* = headaches

I'm waiting on my 1080 Ti, so I'm running IGP off the 6700K. Got the Samsung TV plugged in at the moment and HDMI audio broke. It would be nice if Windows was more like Linux in which we get the bare minimum, and then use a package manager to install whatever we want to minimize the bloat. Then we wouldn't really need Game Mode, which is laughably a concept like DOS mode.

i think game mode only benefits lower end systems, since it redirects resources to gaming. but when you have either an i5 or i7 running with 16gb memory, game mode probably does nothing for you. dos mode was pretty useful back in the days. for some reason i was way too OG and kept on being confortable with command lines for all of windows XP's life. once i got into windows 7 is when i finally dropped command lines. i wish i would have dived into linux when i was younger. now i'm too old to learn all the commands plus ins/outs of linux OS.

BF4 - 1080 FTW 2 - GSYNC definetely has problem. Evryting on screen looks shaking when I turn left - right... I'll test my old 980ti - let me see it's about card or windows... Tested 980ti -> https://forums.evga.com/1...-problem-m2651254.aspx
