A full description of your computer hardware will help people help you. That said, usually the first step if you are having an issue booting is that you want to make sure that your BIOS is up to date as some motherboards had compatibility issues with the 10 series.

its not alle bios settings that whont boot, only when i change a setting where motherboard shutsdown cold (voltage setting) and starts, then led blinks and no more.. when i change a small setting that dosnt requiere cold reboot theres nothing wrong.. XMP og no xmp, default settings it still does it.
when i take gfx out evrything works in bios ..
sorry for my bad english

So a motherboard setting is causing this problem? Either don't change that setting, or get in touch with your motherboard manufacturer, Asus, as to why the problem is happening when you do change that BIOS setting.

ok so i finaly found a fix, downgrading bios to ROG-MAXIMUS-X-HERO-ASUS-0802 - new 1003 causing these problems, and yes i try'd this yesterday as the first thing of troubleshooting but this time i flashed from ssd and a clear cmos before flash.. So note to 1080ti FW3 / HERO X boards dont upgrade to 1003.. Thank you all for your helping me Regardz C

That's intresting, because i updated to bios 1003 and instantly saw stability and overclocking improvements.

I was seeming to have trouble with some benchmarks. Wierd quirks that were unrelated to overclocking or stock gpu settings. Firestrike, Timespy, etc. Also there was a couple gremlins in the cpu voltage side of things with the bios. Like when i would try to overclock my cpu to 5ghz before bios update, no matter what i manually set the voltage to it would blast the cpu with way to much juice. I saw it spike upwards of 4.9v one time before i shut the overclocking show down and went back to stock settings and patiently waited for the next bios update. I also was having issues with core temp, xtu, and cpuZ displaying voltage correctly, before i found out it was overvolting the crap out of my cpu. After the bios update, smooth sailing at 5ghz, highest spike i've seem is 3.6v and i have it set to 3.5v. exactly how i had it setup before. Idle at desktop it sits around 2.6v average Also stock auto fan settings for the MB don't ramp up and down as severely as they did before update. ex. start up boot, first few seconds you open a demanding program. (i guess this could be due to other occurances, but nothing about my setup had changed except bios update)

Ok first i have to ask 4.9 v ???, have to be 1.49v - and 3.6v have to be 1.36v your readings a way off unlees its a type O. :-) I also was having issues with core temp, xtu, and cpuZ displaying voltage correctly, before i found out it was overvolting the crap out of my cpu. ???? U must have seen u where overvolting by the Temps u where getting!!!! ---------------- i use stock fan curve and only time the ramp up, is at full load. haven't noticed any thing wrong there. if we have the same mobo/cpu (i have hero x / no wifi) why is there such a big difference ?? im running 0802 bios and im not experiencing any abnormalities. ok my fans do run a little up when turning on my rig on like for 1 second : -) Funny thing a haven't seen any wrong voltage readings in cpu-z hwinfo64 xtu. .. Bios setup - LLC 5 . AC DC LL at 0.01 ... and so on .. imm running sync all cores 47 avx offset at 0 - with a negative offset voltage to 0.040 witch gives me 1.216 voltage and avx 1.246 max.. Cpu sitting idle at 24c max load 60c, and 73c avx (1.246). !! All c states on !!! nice and coool im not gonna overclock for 5ghz before i dellid the cpu, not worth it.

my cpu is delided, and yes typo, 4.9 is what i ment and 3.6. Never saw high temps so im hoping it was a wrong reading it was giving me at 4.9, but it is delided with a H115 Aio on the cpu.

w00t thats way off reading.. sorry to hear u have have that much trouble.. my cpu not delided and running fixed voltage at 1.216 at 4.7 temps 60c i notices adaptive voltage acting funny so i use offset and fixed only.. AC / DC LLC. what are you settings there .. if not 0.01 try using that.

Yea, i hav'nt messed around with it much after the bios update. I simply checked to see if the voltages were back to what they should be. Next time i get a little free time, i'll poke around the bios again.
