They are not giving a set date as to when they will be sending out tasks. They missed the date a couple times and not are just saying “soon we will let you know “
So soon it is. There is plenty of projects out there to keep us busy
Think of all the money we are saving for now

I remove WCG from BAM! and all my hosts and added the New URL but it still goes to the OLD URL. https://master.worldcommunitygrid.org/It said they had only GPU Tasks so I am going to try overnight to get some tasks. Been trying for over 2 weeks now. Made no difference so I removed WCG and added WCG back with BAM!

I have reset my BOINC manager several times to the URL they have asked us to. Yet the manager still tells me I am using an old URL and will not give me any tasks...

It’s still in testing and they are only sending out small batches. And from what I understand it’s only GPU tasks so make sure you have it set to get GPU task on the WCG site in preferences. You may have to did around to find that setting there if I remember correctly it is kind of hidden there somewhere

I will wait until they have normal CPU tasks ready before I will start backup with WCG. BUT, I am now getting OpenPandemics - COVID 19 CPU Tasks now.

I am getting some CPU tasks also. I don't knoe if I have recieved any GPU tasks or not as of yet.

I went back and forth and ended up just using BAM! and all is fine now.

July 2022 Tech Team Update Discusses current errors with our BOINC platform and what is currently being fixed

Dear volunteers, Over the past week, we entered a new stage of our testing phase where we gave a few workunits to our volunteers to crunch. The goal was to see if any unforeseen errors occurred, which we were able to find thanks to the feedback of our volunteers. For specific questions you may have on the limited workunits, check this thread on our forums. Here’s a quick update from our tech team: We have been working to assess how well the system responds to load and whether configuration is correct. As many have noted on the forums, there are some issues with the BOINC backend configuration. Users will have noticed off-putting notices in the BOINC manager about incorrect project URLs and attaching twice to the same project. We have addressed the underlying issue and apologize for the inconvenience. In addition, we are working to resolve the lack of synchronization between the website profile page and the BOINC manager. We are also working to fix a blocking issue with the GPU workunits for Open Pandemics. Once this is resolved, we should be able to increase the quantity of workunits we can send out to volunteers. Our backlog of non-blocking issues has continued to grow as we observe load on the system, but overall we are nearing a stable state of affairs and look forward to updating users with statistics and more details as we continue the roll out of our production system. The website is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time. It’s likely the website’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely. What can you do about it? www.worldcommunitygrid.org has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site. The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

This may be true, BUT this was part of my job in our IT Department and I this would of happened at our site I might have lost my job. They knew that at on Fri, 09 Sep 2022 12:00:00 GMT it would fail and they should have replaced it at least 24 hours before this date and time if not longer. I have so many tasks trying to download over the last few days set to get no more tasks and now I have so many tasks to upload back to them. Some of the tasks that are trying to download have been going on 4 days now.

Is this getting any better? I tried to get a few tasks a few days ago and they got stuck in the download.
So I just aborted them and gave up. Hope they fix this soon, this is not looking too good.

I've been running for weeks as well but tasks still get stuck downloading with a large project backoff timer. Maybe not as much as before.
Their website wasn't running too well either. Struggled just logging in.
