When I target only one Project on WCG I seem to get very little of them or none so I pick at least 2 Projects like Africa Rainfall Project and Mapping Cancer Markers and get one or two Africa Rainfall Projects and a bunch of Mapping Cancer Markers but WGC will only give you so many at a time to complete before the deadline date and time for each Project. (Help Stop TB) is another one you can pick but only get one or two if not none.
You can go here https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewBoincResults.do to see what Projects you have and see what the status is as well.

I setup WCG up as a back up project when Asteroids@home is out of work. I enabled three projects, Africa Rainfall project, Smash Childhood Cancer, and Help Stop TB. I wanted to work on getting the next badge for each. I let it set and try to get work for 3 days when Asteroids went dry last week. I did not get one single task from WCG. I ended up running Rosetta instead until Asteroids had more work. As far as I can tell the only project with reliable work right now is Fight AIDS @ Home - Phase 2 which I am not interested in running right now. So no, I'm not surprised people are not getting work. I'm not even going to bother with this event due to lack of work from WCG.

I haven’t had a problem getting tasks at all
Right now doing cancer markers and no problem getting tasks. Even getting a few ARP tasks thrown in
I check the project I want but also check send work for other projects if there are no tasks for the project I want

Hmm...I took the ending date of 2/7 to be the end of the 7th, which would be 7pm Eastern on the 7th.  I find the dates on the WCG challenge pages confusing, so I could be wrong.

I found a poster from BOINC.Italy's site that shows a finish of 2/7 at 24:00 UTC.

Can't hurt to run it to the end of the day. That's what I will do then.
