That seems to be the case, yes. Perhaps the FE's are in the clear as well with their 2 MLCC's.

EVGA really skipping out here. $100 over MSRP and they barely give any high-quality caps... Maybe they didn't see any real problems in their testing?

The point was EVGA's product page is incorrect and they should probably update that, it could cost them sales. If Asus' is the same then they should do the same, calm down. I look at photos in the wild when they are available -- just like the multiple "wild" photos I saw to determine the Asus' 6x MLCC. Now we have people posting pictures of their differing FTW3's since this issue is gaining steam around the community.

Some cards are crashing. Igor's Lab thinks it's related to the capacitors on the back of the GPU. This blew up into a mess of baseless speculation and people claiming expensive tantalum capacitors are somehow "cheap" and "low quality", which couldn't be further from the truth. TL;DR: Explosions of nonsense on the internet. Enjoy your GPU and wait for confirmation.

what i got from it was the less array caps you have the more electronic noise you have at higher clocks which can Couse instability issues

Better high frequency noise filtering with an array of smaller value ceramic caps? Yes, that's simply math. Does it matter in this design? That's unproven as of yet.

False. I received my 3090 FTW3 Ultra today and can confirm it has 2 MLCC. Not on the Strix level, but I'll stay loyal to EVGA.
