I am with you on Nvidia delaying the next card until much of this stock gets depleted but as the world runs headlong into a recession, how long could they actually delay ?

Nvidia does not make the video cards, they make the GPUs which they sell to the AIBs which make the video cards.

Nvidia has pretty much exhausted their fab orders for chips on 3000 gen and have already allocated fab production for 4000 series chips at this point.

Nvidia has moved on from 3000 series and are focused on 4000 series now. They are not even selling reference 3000 series directly anymore. They are EOL from Nvidia perspective.

Nvidia delaying release of 4000 series will soley have to do with fab production and shipping delays.

Nvidia does not give a hoot about how many 3000 series cards the AIBs have left in inventory since Nvidia has already made their money off them.

Its' the AIBs that are concerned about their inventory of 3000 series cards they have left before they have to start allocating warehouse space for the upcoming 4000 series cards.

Agree! Prices should drop more.

Didn't understand why the prices on 3080 12GB were in the 3080 TI range! EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 12GB XC3 12G-P5-4865-KL costs more than 11 hundred dollars!
MSI Ventus 3080 12GB on Amazon is $799 now.

So far, only price drops I see are Gigabyte, Asus and MSI.  MSI has lowered their prices on 3080 12GB and 3080 TI...then they offer rebates in addition. MSI Ventus 3080 12GB is $899 with a $100 rebate.  MSI 3080 TI Ventus is $1099 with $30 rebate.   Check Newegg for that.  Asus has dropped prices on the 3080 12GB TUF to $999 (still too high) at Microcenter.  Gigabyte has dropped the 3080 TI to $1029 at Microcenter as well as $979 for the 3080 12GB.  You can save a few bucks now, or wait to see if EVGA drops even lower.  Prices are still high...but slooooowly moving in a southern direction.  I feel that Nvidia will delay 40xx series until they move enough 30xx series.

Perhaps evga is relying on their fanbase to purchase overpriced hardware?

Well on my favorite E-store Newegg.ca there's no biggies at all

XC3 is simply out of stock... and price are from resellers so yeah there's a gap called scalper price

For the FTW3 no gap between Asus, MSI and EVGA.

Simply enthousiasmic about computer since 1992

Still using my GTX 1060 6gb to play every game I want with zero issues. Don't fall for the marketing hype and save your money.

Before I bought the GTX 1060 when it first came out, I was using a pair of GTX 570s with zero issues for several years. And a pair of GTX 285s before that.

That's great but not everyone has the same taste in games and or resolutions.  1080p gaming should be fine on that GPU up to 60 FPS at best but also depending on the game played and what settings used.

At the end of the day, to each their own and hopefully everyone's happy with what they have.

home? We think at that price, one can easily rent a small mystery island for a week; no need to go home.
