Thank you to all who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
 
Veterans Day was originally known as Armistice Day, and coincides with holidays celebrated in other countries that mark the anniversary of the end of World War I. Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.

    Having served in the USAF for 20 years I humbly salute all who have served in the armed services and those who served and paid the ultimate price. All of the veterans are in my thoughts.

    My Dad retired USAF after 26 years...passed away 12 years ago...miss that old codger...

    Sorry for your loss. My Dad retired USN after 25 years (Naval Aviator LCDR) - passed away 8 years ago. Salute to our Dads.

    My wife and I both retired from the USA after full careers.  We think of those friends we served with and most of all those that did not come home. 
     
    We are thankful to everyone who has served and are still serving.
